I got this to replace my 2TB. I needed more memory. Easy and fast set up. If you want one you can access from anywhere this is the one to get.

The product is good and whoever developed it came with a smart idea which is a storage of data without paying extra fees.The thing that took me longer to get to use to is the software and the time to understand the apps.Despite that, I still like the product.

This was any easy setup for a personal home cloud. Accessible from anywhere and also can be password protected all through the software provided.

This has been a great hard drive in the month that I have had it. I really like the way my Apple products wirelessly backup to it.

I love my WD My Cloud. I can access files and photos from anywhere outside my house and on a smart phone. I wish there were 2 important enhancements: 1) Encryption - if someone steals my WD My Cloud they have access to all my files. I have to create TrueCrypt containers for my sensitive data. 2) Photo indexing - whenever I load a lot of photos on the drive I can't control when it goes about creating thumbnails, etc. for them. That's important to do, but when I'm loading 300g of JPEGs I want to turn that feature off and then back on after I've loaded my files. My initial loads took DAYS and I suspect it was because of this. Other file types when much faster. Remember, you can't just have this as a standalone drive...you'll need a back up. I had an old 3TB that I converted to my backup and use my 4TB as my main drive. Also, it's smart to use the USB port to back up data to another device and take off-site - you never know what might happen!

I was very happy with price which was on sale. I was able to connect to my desktop and it connected to my cell phone and tablet.

This is a three-in-one device - backup storage, NAS drives and Cloud storage. Very easy to use, quiet and super fast performance.

The installation and use went well and as expected. A robust solution for personal or even in a small office environment.

I needed a new storage system after my LaCie broke with my entire server saved on it. I wanted something quick to setup and save files to regularly to have a secondary back up. All my devices connected to it easily, phone, iPad and computer.

Still waiting to install system. But can't wait to get it up and running. Everyone should consider doing this for their family.

Great drive for the price. Data transfer rates rates are sufficient for streaming media with Plex, which was the intended use.

This drive is fast even when accessed fro the network. I can access it by wifi from anywhere and using my iPhone from anywhere I have a cell connection. This is truly a useful product

Forget expensive cloud subscription services like Google & OneDrive! This is the way to go. You have complete control and no one has access to your data unless you give it to them. Interestingly it also works with your Dish Hopper box if you have one. You can view movies, photos & music thru your Hopper, very convenient.

Set it up and forget it. Its there via wifi when you want it and no need to find cords like a regular external hard drive

This is a very easy to set up storage device. I had it up and running in no time. The App works great with it as well.

Good choice from a trusted name in a hard drive manufacturer. I was looking for a simple solution to a PRVATE & PERSONAL cloud storage and having used the WD_MyBook 2TB on my iMac & PC I was familiar with the excellent quality of Western Digital. I was impressed with the ease of set up, after I unboxed the unit I had the unit set up and running in under three minutes. The software that comes with the device is adequate and easy to follow.

Very good solution for storing data from multiple computers and family members. Nice to share pictures and music from one source and not have duplicates on everyone's computer.

Good price & sufficient storage size. The fact that's it's Wi-Fi accessable from multiple devices is truly awesome.

Cloud based storage with the ability to have multiple profiles as well as "shared" access. A little slow to access.

This is my second WD cloud server. I have one configured for internet access and one that is only for internal (within home) use. These units are small, quiet and surprisingly fast. Being networked they can be placed anywhere that is convenient that you have ethernet available (they are not WIFI). They also have built in support for MAC Time Machine backup. I can access the server from my phone or iPad remotely and care share specific folders with friends and relatives. Nice product!
