The WD My Cloud was a great buy for the price and capacity. I use it primarily for media and computer backup. I was able to backup my media library (television shows, movies, music). Then, I synced with Plex on my MacBook Pro. So, I can have access to my entire media library wirelessly at home or on the go!

Great alternative to the cloud. It lets me control who can access my files without them "leaving" my home.

This product met all my expectations since I own a few more WD Drives. This is my 3rd cloud and absolutely love them. Able to access all my file remotely from any location in the world is the coolest thing. I have thousands of movies and hundreds of thousands of music files and they're always at my fingertips. I bought this to backup non critical files at my work location. Currently it backs up about 10-12 computers files and also a small SQL database with a nightly full backup and then log files every 5 minutes. It's easy to create all the shares you want to keep things organized. So far it seems to be a good solution for the price. Durability in a work environment will have to be seen. So far so good.

Very good personal cloud, but unfortunately the installation is not so easy as manufacturer says.

I think set up and use are easy on this item, however, when I initially set it up I dint get it completed and still need to work on it. I use Dropbox and it has been easier. Hope to finish this weekend. It is a great price for a lot on cloud based home cloud storage.

took a little while to setup. thought itbwas doa out of box. after factorty reset works fine

Great product. Just wish I would have gotten the Mirrored version. Sometimes the connection from my laptop at work is spotty but I think that has more to do with our firewall. Would highly recommend !

its good to use through the wifi. But it's not convenience to connect through the sub cable

The product help me organize and connect to my data over the internet. A personal cloud system that I can control.

Maybe it is just me, but I thought this would be easier to use than it is. Not many instructions came with it, but this cloud comes with customer service to call and help you get started. I am still learning and will be using customer service until I understand it fully. I am trying to connect my old desk top with XP and two IPhones and an iPad.

Was looking for a at home storage solution, this fit the bill. Little bit of learning curve but plenty of online tutorials explaining everything. Using for storage that is shared by 4 computers, great solution.

I have a few of these drives and could not get by without them. Fast file transfer, cloud access, streaming content directly to my smart tv all make this indispensable to me.

Easy setup took about 10 minutes. No problems. Using it for about 2 months constantly backing my data. My whole family is using this one unit for a backup. Good price, good value for the money.
