Very straightforward easy install instructions. Blazing fast transfers of photos and video. Easy to transfer pictures from your IPhone or Samsung from anywhere in the world through the free app. Wish I had bought this a while ago.

A good device to consider adding to your personal network that allows not only a backup storage, but access to your data when your not at home. That can be important depending on what you're doing. One caution, though. Make sure you have this device on a surge protector. If it suffers any sinificant fluctuations in power, it could permanantly lock up and make the data unrecoverable.

My only complaint about this product (i.e., the only thing that was worse than expected) is ease of installation. At first, the disk would disappear from my home network from time to time and it was not possible to access using the IP address. Later, after some research, I found that in order for my PC to be able to find the disk all the time I had to assign it a static IP. Other than that, the only tricky part is to access it when connected to a corporate VPN... But I guess that is not a problem I can blame MyCloud for...

Got this for my parents - a computer died and I had a heck of a time trying to recover all of Dad's files... Now there's a storage unit on the network where I can have a full backup of both of their machines. Works like a charm!

Setup is tedious and confusing. Endless different software from WD, never sure which is which. Too much security embedded that you need to turn off to make it work. Locked folders asking for admin permission, but no way to change. In the end it works, but slow to setup, slow upload and download speeds, but does the job but could be a lot better with a little more co-ordinated effort from WD.

Serves well as a cloud drive, but I got it so I can back up to it from a remote location. Apparently, WD removed that feature and the community is very upset about it.

Tech support was very helpful, had me up and running in just a few minutes.

Pretty easy to install. Works well. Wish you could also transfer data via USB connected to PC for initial storage setup.

Read the specs online and went to Best Buy and the representative was really knowledgeable on the product. We went home and up loaded all our memories and still have space to addon. Great product!! Wish we bought it sooner.

This is a great product. It works for me and solves all my cloud needs.

I am really glad that we bought this. It has been a lifesaver. I didn't know Macs could have the spinning ring of processing death. Of course they can when you have a million high res photos in your iPhoto drive! This solves the problem. Happiness.

I've had my WD Mycloud 4TB for about 2 weeks now. The product is excellent offering great, responsive NAS functionality and a very high function family cloud with good security. But WD needs to work on its setup instructions and documentation. The setup is confusing and not well documented even in their online documentation (no documentation at all comes with the Mycloud). It took me 2 days to understand how to set the system up and I'm an IT pro. But the results are great.

Worked right out of the box with my Mac network. It would be great if the I formation transferred faster. Overall a good purchase.

This is easy to install and easy to use. I would recommend this product.

I bought this to just be a backup for my iMac but when I sat it up I discovered that it has some file sharing abilities which is a nice added bonus! I would recommend this to anyone as the setup and usage is very easy.

If your looking for a dependable, cheap cloud drive, this one works great. It's kinda of a pain to set up though.

I have two of these and I love them. I back up all my data with them.
