I would recommend this to anyone for a external back up

This is such a good idea. I love my personal cloud server.

this is by far one of western digitals greatest invention. I have had many external and internal WD products in the past but none have allowed me to be able to watch my own videos wireless from anywhere before. I have had an external hard drive hooked up to my wireless router before and was able to access files and videos while I'm at home. this new product allows me to access my files and videos while I'm at home and while I'm on the go. not only was I able to hook up my computer to it I was also able to hook up my phone, my brothers phone, and his laptop. this is by far worth every penny and I would recommend it.

Bought this to drive to store all my digital media for streaming through PLEX. Works perfectly so far as a NAS. Additional access via web and apps are a plus. Easy to install. Well worth it to me.

makes better sense to me then just buying a regular harddrive this way i can access every photo or video to show family and ect.... they said it was one of the bests and i got it for a aswome price

There is plenty of memory and USB to expand. Transferring movies through the Internet is a bit slow, though.

My daughter wanted this and is Very pleased with it.

It was pretty easy to setup, and then once it was connected, I have access to all my files on all my devices PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad, like a home version of Dropbox or Google Drive or One Drive.

This is the best and fastest hard drive I used so far

Relatively easy set up, only one screen gave me problems but easy fix and interface like dropbox.

Learning how to use this thing has been a real pain. There is lots of storage obviously, but its slow and uses the website and all this complicated stuff just so you can use it. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I just don't get this thing. It is visually appealing though, I love the look of it. Just not quite sure if I would ever buy one of these again.

Having the wifi capability is a real plus works great!

I needed a new solution for backups for a five-computer household and this drive met my need, and was easy to set-up. So far, maintenance has been hands off, with email notifications when firmware updates are done.

I would highly recommend this harddrive to anyone.

Got this as a network Time Machine solution. The device has great network speed. The setup is kind of messy but once it's up, it's easy to manage.
