I've heard so much lately about information being withheld from owners orstored overseas, just wanted control over where mine went. Nice to be able to access from anywhere, yet know where it is!

Awesome value for this massive storage that works well.

Very easy setup. User Friendly Administration. Decent Help (context, links, etc.). Price was reasonable and in line with similar NAS storage devices of same capacity.

Big mistake. It runs slow. They had programs to download sounded like for running the hard drive. One turned out to be a security program for the computer. Not the hard drive. It says I have 5 severe threats and several others on a new computer. They want me to pay for it and It constantly pops up insisting I purchase it! Apple does not need a security program! I don't trust the downloads or their device now. And because of this untrustworthy download that gave no notice of what it is I am taking my computer to have it checked by Apple and clean any unwanted programs from it before I continue using. Returning this product and planning on purchasing a faster more trustworthy brand.

No problems so far. seems good. plenty of space. OK.

This drive has been so helpful in our small office, every associate can login and make sure all documents are always up to date without doing double work. Simple to setup.

Good Product, was pretty simple to use and setup. Still getting comfortable with the interface from multiple computers.

For very long time I wanted to have my own cloud where I have full control on my content and I can share it with my family. Also used this as my central media server for Plex server and works great. Only one problem I am facing is sometime it loose cloud connection and by restarting cloud access works back again. If someone help me fix this issue its great purchase.

Setup was easy and haven't had any issues with it yet. I've had it for a little over a month and keep a backup of my laptop on it for emergency purposes, among other things

I bought WD MyCloud to set up my own personal cloud to store photos, videos and other documents. At first, with the older firmware, MyCloud goes to sleep after several hours of non-use and needed to restart to wake it up; but last week they released the new firmware (v04.00.00-607) which fixed the issue. Now MyCloud is up and running all the time even I don't use it for few days. So far everything is running smoothly except for HD video streaming which is taking few minutes long to load and play. Overall, I would recommend this product for people who doesn't want their stuff stored in a public cloud. It's a great product and hats off to the Best Buy customer service.

I purchased this for backup my files. Turned out to be good so far. I can also view pictures and movies if I am away from home traveling. The only concern is the App is not that supportive. From my Android if I move files I don't see staus not progress of file transfer. This could be problem if you transferring bulk of files and some may not trandf. Overall Good product.

It's great for small office and/or home network. Easy to use and set up

I use this in my home theater to store media for my Plex server. It was easy to set up and seems to just work. It is quiet and doesn't take much space. I plugged it in to a UPS as a power outage results in a long self-check process during which, the files are unavailable. I find it odd that there is no option to shut down the unit. The admin console has an option to restart it, but when I want to power down to move the unit, there is no way to do it. The cloud features work as advertised, but beyond playing with it a bit, I really don't access it remotely through the cloud features, that's not why I bought it.

This cloud was easy to setup. I am in the process of transferring my pics to my new cloud. Also documents. Was able to setup multiple users. So far this has been great.

Setting it up took a while , easy to upload pics once you get used to it.

This is an amazing hard drive to back up anything while you are away from your home. Great for when your phone is full and need more storage when your on vacation.

We love to acces our photo, movies and music remotely using our IOS and PC devices.

Easy to use and install. I had it up and running in just a few minutes.

Previously I bought a 3TB Seagate over ethernet and that is working very well. The WD has more capability/capacity but it loses the connectivity and will require a hard reset before its functional again. Using the DLNA devices with this drive and steaming HD movies is a breeze, My PS3 and TV recognized it, and work perfectly.
