I have several of these network drives now and as the prices fall I bought this one. Price per Gig is great. The software takes a little getting used to but being able to access these drives over the internet via phone, tablet or computer is great. I am able to stream video to my internet connected TVs as well.

Overall it's a good product for the money and easy access through the app is a great alternative to iCloud, Dropbox, One Drive, Google Drive, etc.

This is the 3rd My Book Live drive I have purchased. I purchased the first one over 3 years ago and it is still going strong. Highly recommend!

This product is great if, like me, you forget to backup your electronics on a regular basis. No worrying about remembering to plug anything in. The one downside is that it took forever to transfer my files from my old external hard drive even using a ethernet cord which they said was faster than over wifi.

I love that you don't have to olug this device into your laptop. I can access it from anywhere and it is easy to set up.

WORKS GREAT, EASY TO SET UP. I AM FINDING A LITTLE LAG SOMETIMES FOR WIRELESS STREAMING, BUT THAT MIGHT JUST BE MY ROUTER.

These drives seem to be pretty solid and fast, but the setup can be tricky for someone who is not familiar with cloud drives in general. Once they are set up they perform well over both the LAN and as a remote cloud drive. Just be prepared for a few hiccups and a little learning curve along the way.

I really like this unit however there is an ittitating issue where you cannot shutdown the drive from the web interface, only restart. I have to SSH into the drive and manually do a shutdown. Other than that, great drive. Hope they update the interface soon to add back a shutdown option.

Great little cloud storage, with the right router and setup correctly its a good purchase. I'm using an Nvidia Shield to run my plex server, mounted this as a network drive and scans perfectly. I just add files with any PC/Device on my network and show up instantly on my plex after updating my library. Make sure to download the software, has great custom features. Also a great alternative for iCloud and stuff. Backups all your mobile device to your mycloud at home.

This HD works fine, but I'm using it without installing any of the software. Using it to copy and paste files, as in non-automatic backups or as primary storage for a wireless laptop, it installed easily and works fine. The KISS system is alive and well with this WD MyCloud hard drive.

We got tired of paying for extra iCloud storage and found this to be the answer! Easy installation with our cable modem.

works sweet with my Mac book pro time machine setup. One improvement I am looking for a auto photo video upload from my idevices Wd forums talks about this feature need. As usual good buy from best buy ata great price and some best buy points.

Smart phones, tablets, laptops, can all backup automatically the photos and videos so you can manage the space on them.

Glad I got this. Makes a huge difference keeping space on my devices but being able to access it anywhere i am.
