I found it difficult and time consuming to get My Cloud set up and working. There are several apps you have to download for it to work. I had to call on Geek Squad for help. So far I think it is working okay for me. I haven't connected it to my phone or tablet yet. I may change my opinion after I have had more experience with backing up and accessing my data and photos on My Cloud. I was frustrated with the setup process as I assumed it would automatically connect with my computer without such a complicated process.

Not as easy to setup as it should be. Works fine now but transferring a computers worth of data (less than 1/2 a tb) took about 18 hours.

Network storage is a great concept, but this needs work. The initial setup was easy. Once you understand that you must go to the Learning Center to get the SmartWare for backups and get instructions for adding files, life gets a lot easier. The 'concierge' line is a life saver, but I have had to call 4-7 times - way too often for such a basic function. And each time the agents gave me a different solution. For whatever reason, this unit has to be re-booted frequently

Seems to work well as a basic NAS. Nothing else though purchased for plex but WD website let was misleading. This NAS does not support plex.

Great product works as it should very easy to set up

When two persons are accessing at one time in the same NETWORK, this device is hanging and requires a soft rest. Apart from that, everything is working as expected. Ok to go for this.

After a hard drive crashed when I didn't back up my information, I ran right out and purchased them My Cloud. It is set to continually back up my information. It is such peace of mind knowing that no matter what I do on the computer I have a copy of it in case anything happens. Highly recommend this product

I'm loving the ability to have a REAL cloud solution that is ALL MINE!!!!! Being able to reach my files from anywhere is SWEET!!! I haven't had ANY issues with my hard drive, (knock on wood). It's been great. I even have some folders doing a "sync/backup" once a week to it and it's behaving and performing like a champ.

This was hard to set up and use. It could be our understanding of how it works though. Need to call help desk. Maybe someone with more computer experience will have better luck.

solid and does what it says it will do, however I find the cloud aspect over complicates the whole backup aspect. I'm sure it's cool, but overly complex to just run backups.

This does exactly what I needed and easy remote access.

Difficult to use. Tried it for a month. The online "cloud" function works excellent. It's just difficult to get information onto the hard drive for practical use

The product seemed to work well, but was not what I was looking for. I could ONLY access the drive through cloud service and no ability for hard line connection, limiting speed of transfer for my data to backup (which was frustrating, given TB's of data to store). It would have been nice to have a hard line/USB connection in addition to the cloud access.

Very useful,a bit challenging to set-up thou, that why I only gave it 4 stars. It's s good investment if you value you're data and space on your hard-drive and phone.

This is an OK product for what I'm using it for. It's a little bit difficult to get this product to work the way I was told it would. I recently moved my computer closer to the device, which I realize the instructions called for, and the performance has improved. I haven't yet had the ability to access items on the drive using an emailed link, like i said, I'm still figuring it out. Not as easy a product to use as described for novices.

i purchased this and actually returned it b/c it didnt exactly fit the nature of what i was looking for, but we have this same product at work to operate as a server for our shared document drive. it is very small and compact so it saves space, and the software works great and is super easy to use!
