I think it's great but it took me while to figure out and hook it up to my devices .the customer service from western digital is very good they helped me set up

I have used a WD 2TB network drive to store my photos and docs for 4 years. I finally outgrew it. So I upgraded to the 4TB drive. I would never consider anyone but WD for my data storage. It's a great device and access via the cloud app makes it so useful.

... 4TB is as much storage as it used to be. Returned it unopened and ended up buying a bigger WD MyCloud product that uses the same user interface. You'll love this. Easy to set up. Good intuitive application design. Fairly compact size, and slick appearance. The WD tech support is great when you get a really good rep. They're like doctors...you may need to get a second or third opinion by calling back in. But they're responsive and courteous.

My husband and I had some issues initially setting the cloud account up but once we got it working it seems to be doing its job fine.

This is nice alternative to online backups which are limited anyways. Only problem is wd sync and other apps don't work on mac OS X seirra

I bought this item to stream my music library to Bose Soundtouch system. During the initial set up I experienced a couple issues I needed help in resolving. I used Western Digital customer service. They patiently walked me through to resolution. No problems since.

I have had no connectivity issues with this NAS. It works as I need it to. The software and cloud app are a little underwhelming, however.

Works as expected. I like the management interface but it seems to lack the ability to move folders around. That would be my only con.

So I can see this drive on my pc as a network drive however Acronis cannot see the drive on my network (Comcast). Thus returned the drive.

This is a great product. The only complain for me is the setup is kind of confuse a little. The UI needs to be more informative.

Although it has decent space, it is extremely slow, especially multiple connections to the device.

A great addition to my home network. Allows me to transfer large files quickly. I can edit video directly from the drive with no lag time. This drive goes into standby mode when not in use and the spin up time is minimal. I would purchase another one!

Makes a great personar cloud so you can access your files from anywhere. Setup can be a little tricky but it's a solid product so far.

I had somewhat a trouble following the initial instruction and had to call the tech support group which is in Costa Rica. they are helpful but the tone of their voice is full of attitude which I almost told them what they can do with their product

We use this as a backup in our office. I wish I could remotely access the info without having to download files every time.

It is easy to use but the app for the phone has bugs that cause the phones memory to be used up.

very hard to use the idea is great the way they went about dealing with getting stuff in the cloud is a disaster, to many accounts and passwords

If this item had a on/off switch it would be hard to beat. The only way to turn it off is to disconnect it from the power supply.

I have Dlink cameras in two states and was able to use the FTP share to store video clips and snapshots when motion is detected.

Super hard to set up. No instructions or trouble shooting guide. Have spent hours on the phone trying to get it set up correctly no I fear priceless photos are lost as aneeded employee tries to sync everything. I wish I had never bought this, but to unplug and attempt to return, they tell me all my photos will be lost. A photographers nightmare!
