WD My personal cloud does not have a basically functionality to automatically sync iphone photo library incrementally when connected to wifi.

Perfect to keep photos and other items you want backed up

Now we have our documents safely saved. One less concern.

This is the second one of these that I have purchased. The first one died in less than 2 years. I bought a new one because I liked how it worked with Windows 7 and 8. But it is useless with Windows 10. I can access it with my IPhone but it is so user unfriendly that it's basically useless. Don't buy this product until they update it.

This would be a very convenient device they just need to make it a little less cumbersome to connect with it. Had to return this item.

Before I even opened the box I returned this and bought the MyCloud Mirror that has 2 internal drives and thus provides RAID capability.

I haven't put it to full use. It's a bit confusing to set up and still haven't been able to set up a second user.

Good overall backup and external storage for the home. However the setup is not very intuitive for non techie.

Wish it was faster to upload all my files. Seems to be just another external hd.

Bought this as a NaS. Didn't realize it could only connect wirelessly. Preferred a hardware connection.

Don't waste your time with this hunk of junk. No documentation with product. You have to go online. Then all cloud product documentation is jammed into one place. Sometimes unclear what information is for which product. Your supposed to "Ask the community". 1 time setup call and 90 day technical support??? That's a joke. Gives errors, Overheats. Could not wait to return. Seagate has a better product for less $ and their documentation is complete. Unlimited tech. support.

This is not so easy to use. I am looking for another option.

I did my homework, read the reviews online and was warned that this device was slowed down by the indexation and thumbnail generation processes. I bought this 'NAS' with the sole purpose of saving videos taken by wireless video surveillance cameras at home. Well, the My Cloud did not work as a NAS. I gave it a second chance and used FTP to store these videos. Most of them were corrupted due to slow access speed to this device. I also had difficulties accessing the My Cloud reliably from a remote location which seemed to be caused by WD's servers. I was debating if I should null the warranty and root the device to stop the indexation and thumbnail processes... when articles about security flaws that WD did not address surfaced the web. -> repacked -> returned. I finally resorted to use an old laptop to ftp my videos and a remote access software, which ironically worked way better than using My Cloud connected to my router.

The item is pretty good. I haven't been able to figure out the sync feature working

It works well when it works, but issues are often and limitations are frequent.

My experience with this NAs hasnt been the greatest so far but am still learning.

Had to download multiple apps until I got the right one. Documantation is terrible.

Could not set up called manufactor and got one from them as replacement it worked ok

It works just fine, but a little bit challenging to get it set up with my devices.
