Just get a Synology

First off nothing and I mean nothing is intuitive. From setting it up to trying to get the few apps to work with it was pure frustration. I don't understand all these other reviews "raving" about this NAS. I'm guessing they've never used another brand of a NAS. I returned this NAS and ordered a synology. Yes it did cost more BUT it is a night and day difference. WAY easier to set up, to use and alllll the apps! Just the best user experience would could ask for! Like the old saying goes "buy one, cry once"

Don't plan to use Plex from this even though it's supported. File transfer speeds over gigabit hard wired connection are fast. Setup will take some time if you are picky or have multiple users.

I have used Western Digital Raid before. I like the features and the ability to access it from anywhere. I felt a bit disappointed to later read some of the negative reviews in that it may be just a discontinued model or difficulty if something goes wrong, but I'll just face that if and when I come to it.
