Western Digital has been my GO TO data storage solution for decades because of there proven track record for stability & reliability; this My Cloud is no exception. I shoot A LOT of stills and video for both work and recreation, often quite far from home, and having a web-based back-up option prior to traveling home is a nice little level of additional confidence that the imagery I collect will be there when I need it. I will be buying several more of these in the near future.

Easy to install and user friendly website ! Saves info daily and backs up your devices without having to think about your digital pictures being lost It’s nice to have your own home server u can access info from anywhere. We have our own I cloud

This is a plug and play device. Very easy to install and start. Just follow the card and create an account. I like that you can backup more then one device. I didn’t see instructions on how to backup music. Does a great job on photos.

I use this drive to image every PC in my home for backups. The software with the drive didn't help so I found a free version to do so but I have not had connection issues with the drive over my home network. I use the cloud function rarely and the app/connection works well.

If you want easy access storage then this is it. I love mine and what it does. Great product. App is easy to use also!

Super easy to set up and use. We used it to move all the files from our old desktop to our new desktop and store all of our media.

This drive is very difficult to use with Apple Mac products. It requires use of the My Discovery app which does not play well with other NAS systems on your network. I tried to copy my Apple Time Machine backups to the My-Cloud drive but after 2 days of “copying” it was unsuccessful. Do not think you can use this as an external drive on your network. Access is limited and inconsistent. I purchased this unit to replace a 10 year old WD My-Cloud 1TB drive. This drive worked well for my file needs. The new My-Cloud Home doesn’t allow access over the network without using the WD Discovery App. Terrible UX/UI implementation.

I like the My Cloud to a point. Things that may be minor but bother me are that you cannot organize your photo folders by date. They seem to be locked into the order in which you input them, with the last created folder at the top of the list. Also there is not a way to share a specific folder to other parties without giving them access to the entire Cloud.

I bought this to store all my photos and videos, It has freed up so much space on my PCs and Phones. Plus the phone app is great and lets me back up family pics from my phone and I can still access them without having to take up space on the phone.

Great product if you're looking for an independent personal cloud environment. Setup is easy and quick. Access speed is great for music and file storage.

This Cloud Home is great. We're able to share things and even load to it from remote areas not just when we are at home. Very handy with that. I prefer using it from my Mac where I can access it via web browser. But it works well with app on phone.

Exactly what I needed. With 3 kids in homeschool on 3 different computers, I needed 1 place to save all there work and to be able to access everything. Very happy with purchase.

My Cloud is excellent and works well with Plex to stream our home videos! I would highly recommend it.

All in all a very disappointing product. Pro: - unbeatable price for clod storage - initial setup quite easy Cons: - very slow upload and download speed. even within the same network. I’m uploading files ie. to iCloud 5-6 times faster - network internal connection very unstable I think it is okay, if used as only as an emergency online backup, but it is simply way too slow and cumbersome for a more than that. Next time I would invest a bit more for a better device

This NAS performs very well. Extremely easy to set up and move files onto.

To be honest, not the way i like it. Tried with apple to download the software to be able to use it as a local NAS and it has bugs that does not work with apple. As far as managing your docs, its great.
