It is NOT a NAS drive! It is NOT a storage array (SAN). It is a capacious ethernet attached drive that once you log in and register is pretty easy to map a network drive. I use it for both PC and Mac on my home network and to back up my phone. It's a little slow. So far so good. I don't put anything critical on it.

This is the second My Cloud I have had and it really seems to be the standard for personal cloud based backups using your own device. It is a little complicated to set up, but once it got up and running, everything seems to be working fine.

I purchased the MyCloud Home as a remote back-up drive for use with my MacBook Pro and Time Machine, and I highly recommend it. Set-up was easy and relatively fast, and the MyCloud app is a bonus. Good product and a good value.

Fairly easy to setup and get working, however, the performance is very slow. Often times I just copy files to a flash drive and sneaker net it over to where I want the data.

Very easy to install the apps required to access this drive. I had it up and running in just min after taking it out of the box. Very easy to use and so far very reliable.

Really pleased with having a cloud for our home network. Easy to set up, takes up next to no space. I have it plugged directly into one of our eero units. Works great!

Very easy to setup and use. I upload and download stuff from anywhere with a signal. Been using it for a year now with no issues at all. Just keep in mind it is slower than a direct connection,

Great product for my purpose. I’m using the drive to backup 4 iPhones and have consolidated all the photos over. Seemless, easy to use and fast!

We can't believe we ran our small office without MyCloud. It is so easy to set up. On 3 computers. Easy to organize, save important emails for quick references. Some times we have a problem with the app. It won't show certain changes when you open a document.

All I wanted to do was provide a TimeMachine backup, but I could not get the MacBook Pro TimeMachine to connect to the MyCloud Home NAS. Finally, after a couple hours, I found in the community that I had to login as Guest. Still did not work. I rebooted the Mac and Voila! It connected.

Great back up device. Limited features though for ease of use.

pros: Easy to install Took 10 minutes to install Don’t require a lot of space Cons: You have to log in to see the drive on your pc. Seem like it was meant for tablets and phone. Can be slow at times using the pc.

This was super easy to set up and makes backing up pictures and video super easy. I was able to set it up to happen automatically. So no more fear of losing family photos. The drive is list in my home network making it very easy to access as well.

It is worth using this product. I like it using this.

I think this model is faster than my old My Cloud. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is that it must be connected to the network to run. You cannot just connect it to a pc and use it like an external hard drive. The app that is available on apple or android makes transferring your data very easy.

I have had this device less than two years and it has died on me twice with no way of restoring any of the data that was on it. Their software glitches whenever you try to share a folder with more than one user causing the entire device to crash. Years of pictures and data have been lost. Highly recommend another solutions as they do not help you recover any of the lost data. Time to look at other manufacturers as WD clearly isn't it.

I does what I needed. We just had a baby and wanted to have a place to share and store our family photos with redundancy. this is easy to install, easy to access trough different devices. its fast uploading. So far, im happy with my purchase
