Speaking for the app and desktop applications they are really smooth and really nice. Came from using a SeagateMedia cloud and it was horrible especially after they cut off remote access. This one is quick and no issues so far.

Nice to have in our house so all 4 of us can have 1 unit to save and retrieve from.

Easy to set up and use. Works for apple and android phones as well as pc and MacBooks. Great for backing up all devices to one unit. Prior we had two backups due to formatting issues.

Good Option for getting photos off your devices. Easy interface to move photos from device to this drive. Each user has their own “walled” off storage.

Using the WD app on my iphone allows my photos to be uploaded to the drive. I don't like having my photos on icloud. I prefer to have my own device. Plus, I can easily see and videos, movies, and photos I have stored here from anywhere.

Works pretty well and is easy to setup and use. We are using it save photos.

I would not buy WD again. I had one for home and needed one for my business location. They no longer support the WD Discovery for Window 11. Makes it so hard to view the content on the drive/cloud. Plus, signing into the cloud portal is 50/50. I wish I could return it but I am passed the return limit.

I have gigabit internet, my own server, NAS, the whole nine yards. This thing is SLOW. If you are just archiving stuff from your phone, or using it to play movies off your tv it's fine.

This hard drive is easy to setup and use. It has performed as expected with no issues. The WiFi access to storage is something I will no longer go without!

Date storage cloud unit is great for my mall business files

This product has solved all of our family storage needs. We are able to store our movies, pictures and important documents. I love that I can access it on the road and I always have access to my documents now with the auto back up feature.

I own two of these. (The one commented on is the most recent purchase.) They work extremely well. WD support is not very responsive. macOS Catalina, which was released this week, has been available for test since June. It no longer supports 32 bit apps. Apple has been warning developers for several years that they were gong to drop support in this release. This gave WD plenty of time to update their app. They didn't do it and the only way to access your drives is via a kludge using a web browser. Until it is fixed, I cannot recumbent this product.

This does not work with Apple's new M1 chip and WD has yet to release an update that will allow it to work with the new chip. However, even though it doesn't work with the new M1 chip on my primary computer, I'm giving it two stars since it works well with my other secondary devices such as my iPhone and iPad. I don't recommend this for anyone who has an Apple computer with an M1 chip, but do recommend it if you have the Intel chip. I would change my rating to five stars if WD ever makes a fix for this problem.

After years of having multiple "Back-Up" external drives, I finally bit the bullet and purchased the WD 4TB My Cloud. I couldn't be happier. I have been able to consolidate all my files into a single spot. I love that they are accessible to any one of my computers. That I can access my files from anywhere is awesome, yes this drive has remote capabilities. This drive is simple to install for those who are computer savvy, but I can see it being a bit more difficult for those who are technically challenged .

This cloud provides consistent remote access. It is an excellent addition to the home office.

Absolutely love this product! I can see all the music I own wherever I am. No more duplicate buying. So easy to share my photos now. Love, love, love my cloud.

So far it seems to meet my needs. Unlike some others have said, I was able to get a file structure to load so things can be organized. USB port for upload also works very well

The WD My Cloud is perfect for easily backing up from your phone or home computers. The bigger benefit is being able to access files from anywhere without paying a monthly membership.
