Using this for plex and storage. Works like a charm. I wish there was an SSD option instead.

Bought October 18, 2018 and just decided to stop working February 20, 2019. It just flashes white and never connects back to the “my cloud” service. All the photos, backups and software I was storing there are gone. If you read their fine print, they are not responsible for recovering any of it. They direct you to paid third parties if you want to shell out a bazillion dollars. I am highly disappointed in this piece of trash. Save your money. I beg you!

Great home storage for phone and computers for those of us who don’t want to pay for external cloud storage

WD My Cloud work great however is more complicated than the old Cloud.

The My Cloud was easy to setup. I was able to access my folders from work. I was also able to back up ALL my devices iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and PC with no issues at all.

I'm using this to move stuff off my laptop and free up space. Also want to go from 1TB SSD to something smaller and more cost effective when I get a new MacBook Pro.

I have this connected in my network closet and it automatically backs up all my computers. It’s also nice to have partitions for each user to use as extra storage.

The device was very easy to setup and configure. Providing access to friends and family is as simple as creating a folder and sending an email.

This is my new backup drive. Was able to save all my info that I had on my laptop before updating it. Easy to use. Backups through the app.

It was a breeze to setup and it got my time machine backup working again. My Mac and my wife’s Mac are now backing up correctly.

Very happy with the backup storage. Not thrilled that when I add a file with the same name as something already there it doesn't warn me, just renames it with a #. I may end up with many copies of the same thing when I really only want it there 1x.

For the price and what it is meant to do, I love it and it has helped accomplish what I got it for. Very glad I picked this item

It was easy to set up. It is an okay price but is limited on what you can do. I wish it would organize photos and notify when you have duplicates.

It's so nice to have a reliable back up system. So easy to setup and have all computers and cell phone connect to it and back up to it.

I thought this would be my solution to iCloud. I thought I’ll just have my own. Well, in theory, it sounds great and should be great. In reality, it’s slow in general and really slow after a certain point. The way it organizes files is not user friendly. I finally gave up. It sits unplugged under my desk. Perhaps if you don’t have much to store, it might work for you. If that’s not the case, save your money. If I could take it back, I would.

Hard Drive works great, no complaints with WD. Microsoft is different story. Can't install like you used to be able to, which makes it a little harder to use.

Received as a gift and absolutely love it. Really enjoy the simplicity of it automatically uploading all of my photos from my phone each night.
