Using it for time machine

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this drive was purchased for a local networked backup drive, which has extra features not needed (like cloud access) but is missing wd’s backup software which seems to no longer be available. wd recommends using windows built-it backup, which the home version doesn’t actually backup to a network drive. if using this drive for simple backup, it also has an overly elaborate setup process via apps and accounts (mainly for the cloud access). it appeared this new drive was to replace a previous model wd cloud drive, but it really isn’t similar in available features and software.

Good but not for plex
