Easy to install and setup. - The unit is very quiet and fast. So far the unit works very well in my system.

We like it seems to work good. We don’t leave it on though it gets shut off and on when we need it.

This is a great drive. I am forever needing something from my home system when I travel. Log in and get it. Take a picture on your phone and its backed to home.

this drive was purchased for a local networked backup drive, which has extra features not needed (like cloud access) but is missing wd’s backup software which seems to no longer be available. wd recommends using windows built-it backup, which the home version doesn’t actually backup to a network drive. if using this drive for simple backup, it also has an overly elaborate setup process via apps and accounts (mainly for the cloud access). it appeared this new drive was to replace a previous model wd cloud drive, but it really isn’t similar in available features and software.

I wanted to host some 4k movies on my plex. This wouldnt transcode the movies. Just didn't have enough juice to do it. . But worked flawless for 1080 movies.

The cloud is extremely easy to set up and connect. The only issue I had initially was setting up a second user as it didn’t help me double confirm their password.

The device set up easily. I used Plex and one of my PCs for the software/media server. This has been a good addition to my network. It's fast -- I don't notice a large difference between local or network loads, and I think the small delay is the wireless, not the drive. I am not experienced in Media Servers, and I may not have the best setup. I used Plex as the software and the combination is seamless. If there is something better, I'd love to know what it is.

This solved my problem with iPhone lighting cable bottle neck. It was such a pain to take my pictures out of my iPhones. Now this just syncs them automatically. I already bought 2 more for my mom and sister.

Purchased for a firm I deal with but removed it because it is really a home based unit. You Crete an account and give access to it. I was hoping it would act and a NAS device. It does not.

My Cloud home is a very good option to back up your files, although it has been duplicating my camera roll photos for some reason, I still like having access to all my backed up data any time, any where.

Amazing Product with ease of use. Rather then paying to some other company for your cloud storage , this is nice to have your own storage

I emphatically, wholeheartedly, without a doubt do not recommend this product. Nor any WD My Cloud product for that matter. I bought one of these to replace a WD My Cloud that didn't survive a 10-second "brown out" during a rainstorm (it was the only device of several plugged into a surge protector that didn't survive). For some reason unbeknownst to me, I was forced to create a "My Cloud Home" account during setup because my "My Cloud" account wouldn't suffice. By the way, that's as far as I was ever able to get.... Step 1. Connect the cloud drive into the router. Step 2. Connect the drive to the power source. Step 3. Wait for the light on the front to turn solid....That never happened. Not on the 2nd one of these I bought either. Called Western Digital both times, and apparently it's a known issue. Save yourself the headache...buy a different device.

This NAS was easy to setup on our network. Also, I to advantage of the curbside pickup at Best Buy. Simple, friendly and quick!

This thing is a life saver. Its hooked up to all of our phones, all pic go to our personal cloud and we just erase our phones at the end of the week with no worries.

I used to use Apple's Time Capsules to backup multiple computers in an office, but since they have discontinued those devices this was what I have turned to and I have been very satisfied.
