I believe it works best with a computer running windows. Takes a minute to backup photos from Android. It do get the job done though. Would recommend it.

Keeping this backed up on other drives as well just to be safe. Also, the new web interface is atrocious but at least you can get around using it still.

So I returned it. I don't expose my unit to the Internet. So for a private cloud, you need WD My Cloud Extra2 Ultra, not MyCloud. My previous MyCloud unit was private and/or public; but Western Digital has moved private cloud items up to a higher price point.
