I wouldn't buy it again. Not as easy as I hoped

Syncing is easy enough, and it's pretty fast, but I've had some issues. It tends to remake the same folder, so now I have multiple copies of thousands of photos. Also, it gets VERY hot, so I've had to move it around in the server cabinet in fear of it overheating. They have sent out a few emails saying they are phasing out desktop support, so hopefully mobile transfer sticks around

Great Item for DLNA music and storage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased a MyCloud 4TB unit but you need to be on the Internet and connected to Western Digital for that to work. So I returned it. I don't expose my unit to the Internet. So for a private cloud, you need WD My Cloud Extra2 Ultra, not MyCloud. My previous MyCloud unit was private and/or public; but Western Digital has moved private cloud items up to a higher price point.

My Cloud Replacement

Works but not great!

Their products have become less customizable and now I will no longer use them. I did use this at work for a while and because of the changes to their OS I can no longer use in the manner in which I need. It will work for most home users. The drive quality has also declined as WD drives are crashing more and more on me.
