good storage

I cannot figure out how to access files transferred from a different computer on the same Wi-Fi. looks like they are saved on a partition only for that pc. so one pc cannot see what the other pc transferred to the wd.

SAVE DATA SAFELY

I feel more comfortable using this data storage with my lap top as screen and access. It is not plugged in unless I am storing or accessing data or photos. BB did a great job moving all my data from my tower to my new hard drive...and I have my tower hard drive as back up. Donated the scrubbed tower to a kids computer donation center!

Does what it's supposed too

HD is quiet, but you can hear the HD if you're near it in a quiet room. Able to stream Plex to at least 2 TV's at the same time (that's all I've tried at once) and can still access files without causing any issues. Cloud access is a nice addition

Great for a starter

The upload speeds from outside your wifi is abysmal, but within wifi range it flies. Have multiple devices hooked up to it

Overloads Network

Days later, the Geek Squad called & advised that they needed another drive to transfer to first, due to the corruption. Had I known this I would have not bought the cloud at this time. I took the cloud home, & when it was on my network, the cloud overloaded the network. Now, I'll have to get the Geek Squad to help me install it.
