Good for basic needs, slow performance

Im not a fan of the software you need to use for it. Also, while this is dependant on a lot of different things the speed of transfer is slow imo. Getting everything loaded the first time takes a long time.

Died. Quickly.

It was great in the short window during which it worked. Had my macs backing up to it through time machine with no issue. First my laptop said it Hadn’t backed up in x days and the drive couldn’t be reached. Then I rebooted it and it never came back, taking my whole music collection with it. I could’ve gone to WD for a replacement but the damage was already done once I lost my music. I searched around and tried things I saw in forums (turns out to not be an uncommon problem) to no avail. It was the second and final time I’ll ever use a prepackaged NAS device.

Can’t back it up

I Love having the app to see data from anywhere. Simple setup and want to use it to store family photos, videos, important things but wd my cloud home has no way to back it self up! Back up tons of things to it, but don’t lose the originals because there is no way to backup the my cloud home.
