Not too bad but not worth it for me

Good Backup Device

Setup was easy and I had everything I needed transferred over within an hour. My only gripe is that there is a noticeable lag when trying to use the search feature in the file explorer. Just one of the drawbacks of the cloud feature I suppose.

Hard To Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pretty good with computers and networking, But this was a 2 day challenge to get 6 computers to be able to back up to this wireless drive. It was at least very hard to get the computers to "Find" the device, Even harder to may the drives. This would be a far better device if it came with its own software instead of 3rd party apps for installation.

Wish I had purchased this a long time ago.

Works well as a backup drive

It is advertised that it can support performing as a Plex server, however it does not have the power to use for streaming over the air programming. My HDHomerun device keeps buffering when using the drive as my Plex server. I no longer having issue after changing my Plex server to a laptop.

The hard drive works, I just wish that it didnt require WD software. Otherwise, it works fine. When you first start moving files to the Hard Drive, it will take some time. If you want a NAS and you do not have alot of computer knowledge, this drive is for you.
