Works well as a backup drive

It is advertised that it can support performing as a Plex server, however it does not have the power to use for streaming over the air programming. My HDHomerun device keeps buffering when using the drive as my Plex server. I no longer having issue after changing my Plex server to a laptop.

Data Beach, unsafe

It worked well for a month or so then there was a Huge data breach and the chaos that was unleashed was awful. Mine now sits in a corner unplugged, only to turn on when I need something off of it. Shameful!

Great Personal Cloud

WD my cloud home is an excellent device for a home/personal cloud. Streaming performance is excellent. I tried Plex server and its amazing. Used the invitee feature to create personal clouds for friends and family members.

Used as a network drive

I don't keep files I create on any computer.
