I purchased this device for network attached storage and backup of our phones, MacBook, iPad, and notebooks. Backs up all devices when attached to the home network. Also great for centralized storage of our photos.

Works well because I never have to think about it. I recommend for anyone looking for a wireless way to save information or for a Time Machine backup.

Won't work with HD Homerun dvr. Works with CHANNELS DVR app in conjunction with the HD Homerun tuner. So far not impressed. It has too many bugs for $8 a month.

Works across all my devices i can draw soemthing on my ipad pro and imediatley pull it into a project on my desktop

This is a great way to be able to share pictures or files anywhere in the world. This beats emailing your pictures, just drop them in a common folder for everyone in you group to see.

This drive allows access via the cloud only. If you want to access this drive via a local network, it will not allow access. You can install apps on your mobile devices to access the drive via the cloud also. Great little drive.

No good. The app doesn't seem to work with anything and the access is clunky and near useless. We got this to replace our offsite cloud storage and attempted to set up automatic updates from all our devices. Not only is this difficult in any form (seems like photos and documents are the only backup options?) but this device DOES NOT talk to Windows, Apple, or Android and the web login is simplified to uselessness. Please just use this money to get an (non WD) external HD and network it locally yourself, it will save you time, money, and the disappointment of a trusted brand failing you after decades of investment.

Working as expected. I lost my old MyCloud due a power surge. This one is better portected and works like a charm.

my Old lady and I like to watch Andy Griffith show while we paint each other’s toenails. It a real pain to heal wobble to the DVD player to change seasons. No need to repair my MANecure now the HD streams just fine

This is a very nice personal cloud. It makes sharing items within the house very convient. If you are working with various devices it makes moving from one to another very easy. I highly recommend this product

I used this drive for 8 months. Then it failed. I was unable to recover any data myself. When using the WD tech support I was informed that they "do not charge for data recovery" and to submit a "Return Material Authorization". This is NOT what it sounds like. Upon receiving the drive they ERASE ALL DATA & send a "REFURBISHED" unit. I have since learned via other "support technicians" that WD does not offer any data recovery .... Hence why they "do not charge for it". They also do not do any type of reimbursement for data recovery. So If your drive fails.... You have to PAY to get YOUR DATA & get a USED unit back... LESS THAN 1 YEAR. SUPPORT WAS A JOKE! They constantly send you to page after page to read & self diagnose instead of actually helping. DO NOT BUY!!!

This My Cloud works great, I have bought a few for my clients. They all enjoy them. It comes with and App that works pretty good over all but could use some tweaks

This a great drive for the money and it is wireless. Your own personal cloud. please note if you want to use it backups using Time Machine it cannot be used for anything else.

Had trouble getting it to sync with my wifi and devices at first. Tech support was not very much help. Once I got it its been good. It backs up automatically...easy to retrieve pics from anywhere.

Do NOT buy this product. It was initially sold as a way to connect as a local drive on your computer. Western Digital removed this functionality and requires us to use the web-based app to get to our personal cloud devices! Furthermore, do download from the web app, you cannot select large amounts of files to download. Small amounts only. Furthermore, the web app is NOT easy to use. Lastly, I wish I had not invested in two of these to copy to one another. Planning to remove data and never purchase a WD product again.

This WD drive was very easy to hookup, it does the job I need from this drive. I connect it to a network switch and I can get my data from any of my PC's It is fast also. I like it and I will recommend it.

Hard drive worked for about 4 months then the unit stopped working. Following the steps on WD’s website I was unable to restore the hard drive.

Heed my warning. Hours wasted setting up and really hoped to have this machine meet expectations. Found out this isn’t compatible with my MacBook OS Catalina. This having already spent hours into the early morning backing up iPhone pics. That proved to be a complete waste of time. My network also reported an IP attack experience. Boxed up and returned the next day. Do not buy!!!
