This was easy to setup and the user interface was very user-friendly.

There is a little setup but it’s not too bad. You have to know that this is a cloud based backup option that you can share access too. It’s a dependable and accessible anywhere.

Connected my Apple Airport Timecapsule (dead internal hdd) I had it connected to a Netgear base for a while, but the Airport is much easier to manage.

I was hoping that this would be a good drive, but it appears I am not able to transfer files to it throughout USB and have been painfully uploading files through the web instead.

The support team for this product has no idea what they are doing. I was told everything takes about 15 days to get a simple answer. I would give it 5 stars were it not for the support.

This device work for me, although I cannot access it from my Mac. It also has no interface for configuration and security. All in all it works with my Windows machines.

This is great. I love the fact that it allows connection via the network and it runs Plex. If you are looking for a nice cost effective media server you can go wrong with this

The older version of this product allowed cloning of thos drive to a separate hard drive attached via usb. This one does not. The functionality as a cloud drive works well, though.

Great way to have your own personal Cloud without paying for subscription with other companies. Store your pictures, files, etc and access them anywhere without copying or moving the drive.... Yes Please!

This device's network name changes unexpectedly disconnecting it from TimeMachine Configurations on Mac Devices which interrupts automatic backups.

had to upgrade because support of old one was ending. not expecting any problems because old one worked very well

We needed this to be able to listen to music from our music collection on our Bose speakers. It works however the Plex server is junk and likes to drop out.

Have purchased WD products before, always been good quality. Initially, this looked like it was going to be great, with backing up from my phone. The issue is you really have to use the app to access the drive. Using Windows Explorer is an exercise in frustration. There is not fix. They say your internet is slow, you need to reboot, but in reality, it's the product. If you dont 'want to access things from your computer, it might be ok. For me, total waste of money, with zero customer support.

Works great for network storage. Beware this only has a network RJ45 port, no USB port to use with your computer directly. The USB port is for importing files from USB drives only.

It is doing what I need it to do. Like it very much.

I have had this device going on a month it was a nightmare to set up for what i needed. Now the thing is blinking white and does not allow me to access my files or log in supposed to be a easy personal cloud storage i find it very sketchy and WD is literally no help. DON'T RECOMMEND

This device has been great for keeping files handy within my own network, and the ability to access those files from my devices using the recommended app and Plex is a great addition.

I upgrade from my old WD Cloud to this, and I very happy to have done it. This new one is a lot faster, better app management and easy connection to it. The apps that can be added are a plus.

Good deal, but poor instructions. It did work after going on line and installing it twice. Should have had instructions in the box///
