The motherboard attached to this drive died on me. The drive itself is based on a Linux format so now I am stuck with a drive based on Linux with files I can't access. This was a complete waste of money and WD customer service is horrible. Will not be buying from this company ever again.

The software for this cloud storage isn't user friendly and isn't capable of being used on multiple devices without first sharing the files to a new device. This drive functions more as an external hard drive than a cloud drive.

Still can’t figure out how to use the remote function !

Died within one week of owning. Wouldn't even power on.

Older model are better with smb supports. This one Needs internet connection all the time

If I could could give it one star I would. This is not a cloud drive where you can download files in a folder at once, you must do it one by one. Also no items from your mapped drive show up in the cloud and vice versa. Rubbish.

To date I have not been able to install this device. it is very difficult to communicate with my computer. The website is not operating

I found this not satisfactory for my use. Found a simple thumb drive easier.

THE MOST locked down not really your data, local device ever, just to connect to it, you have to access myhome.mycloud. < this is not local.

Still can’t figure out the remote accessibility- the whole idea of having cloud!

I needed a decent NAS for personal home use, nothing too fancy or extreme, and this is the perfect product to fit my needs. Great capacity and size and consistent file transfer speeds, highly recommend.

Disconnected 1 day after my nstall and Would not reconnect after looking in to the probe I found hundreds of of people with the same issues it is a Ed server problem that they have failed to correct and no date set to fix it

Terrible product support from WD . This is not a Best Buy issue . There a better options available. I would not recommend this product.

Will be less then a year and the Cloud Feature will end because of updated security features. Been offered 20% discount on future purchases that will be compatible with the new security/enhancements.

Drive no longer connects to the internet, and no known way to connect it to my pc directly to access the information. Called WD support and they told me it's sounds like the drive has failed. Very disappointing.

I can save and access my files from the web using a VPN at any time. It makes my life simple and safe while traveling instead of bringing external hard drives with me.

Cannot seem to figure out how to set this thing up. It says it is easy, but it is definitely not. Getting it to configure with my WiFi was a nightmare, the guy on the call for technical support did not speak clearly whatsoever.

Need a new external and thought this was perfect as it hooked up to our network. Turns out, WD has many levels of quality with hard drives. This is considered the bottom of the line. Less stable and prone to failures and a hackable application. I returned.

This drive lasted 7 months before it died! Poor quality. Haven't filed a warranty claim yet because I am concerned about the security of my data, I can hear the drive spinning I just can't access it via USB or the LAN.
