Perfect for cloud storage. Love the fact you don’t need to plug-in to computer/laptop and backs up automatically. Allows multiple users to access cloud.

This is my second purchase of a My Cloud. Will continue to use this type of drive. We like having it all in one place and in our home network

my cloud mass storage unit software doesn't work with microsoft command function. I Have to drag & drop files and directories to the storage unit to backup my computer.

This is a winner. I have a few experiences with network attached storage devices and this is the easiest one to work with. Plug and play is the best description I can think of. So many of the other devices require setup once you get it powered up. This unit asks for some information but doesn't require you to do any configuration of system resources like changing your firewall settings among other things. I really love how simplistic it is to set up but still giving the protection we need like using password to secure your account, data.

Works smoothly. Feeling safer with my info with me, and not floating in someone else's cloud, doing who knows what. I have so much space!

The set up of the system into our network was effortless. I was able to backup all of our legacy systems, before destroying the hard drives. We still have plenty of room for all my wife's future photo ops.

Excellent if you are looking for simple, very little configuration set up process. Works well will mobile and desktop pc. Make photos, videos , and file easably accessable.

Got because our old MyCloud wasn’t being updated anymore. This works well and is relatively easy to setup. Liked the older MyCloud interface better though.

This is a nice affordable option for storing files and being able to access them remote or even upload. Only negative is is can have a bit of lag so don't try download or upload too much at once.

The storage is amazing, and very easy to set up. I have it linked straight to my network and setting up the security on it was very simple.

Easy setup and configuration- App could have more features- If the App had the ability to sort and save according to date and or person or location this would have been an excellent device-

The WD My Cloud Home did install easily, BUT! It did not allow me to configure it like a usual hard drive. It also had a limited number of apps that support functionallity. I felt that WD was not supporting this device with any serious commitment. I like my aging WD My Book Live and was looking for a repeat of that version and was disappointed that WD did not continue functionally of that series. I am sure there are reasons but it does not support changes in the Windows 10 changes along with the age of my current My Book LIve, that has prompted me to start to looki for a replacement.

A lot easier to set up than the previous My Cloud I had, would have given it 5 out of 5 stars if it wasn't required to connected directly to my modem.

Easy setup and had it working in no time. Can access from my phone and remote computer. Like your own personal NAS at half the price.

Great capacity external HD Which is easy to install on home network. Just plug in router. Also app available to use. Can also back up phones photos to the ext HD

So far so good, Wasn't too hard to set up and it gives me another peace of mind that my files are backed up. Always liked the WD brand.

I upgraded from an early generation my cloud to this later version to add space and get Plex functionality. Good basic NAS, and the backup approach is an improvement over earlier versions.

it was easy to set up and backup my computer for the first time. not so sure what to do after that. but i haven't had the time yet to digest the manual and learn yet another new set of instructions. i'll get to it ... soon

Basically it is an external hard drive that is internet connected. Download the software and setup an account the set-up wizard does the rest. Came with a Plex-Pass promo which allows streaming DVR functions. Plex hook-up to my Fire TV was quick and simple, 4 digit code from TV to the plex website. Use the My Cloud Home Do More software to set up Plex folders on the drive and just drag and drop. There's still a lot of nuances I haven't explored yet but, I've had no problems viewing pictures and documents while away from home straight from the WD My Cloud Home app.

This is the second cloud I buy and is super easy to use and share. If you work with videos and large data, this is the best option
