I purchased this for my inlaws to help make sure they can always have a backup server for their MacBooks. I originally considered a synology server as that’s what I use at home, but I am very satisfied with how easy this was to setup for them. It’s literally just plug and play, and as long as you check on the drive health ever so often you’ll be happy with it’s ease of use for Time Machine.

We bought this to replace portable Hard drive to back up computers and phones. Set up was quite easy. It sure what value the app brings. We had a really tough time getting our Mac to back up photos to this drive. The PC worked well and the iphones backed up easily. Be aware that the first time you back up it takes a long time ... over night or more ... over the air. Once first back up is complete successive back ups are behind the scenes. The phone back ups are not organized in any logical way that I can decipher, so the remote access is of limited value.

I was looking forward to getting a Cloud Drive for my PC network to use for business and personally ever since I read about them and this one from Western Digital not only met but also exceeded my expectations! It has a very large 4TB hard drive, is stylish and very compact, was easy to setup and connect to the internet, is easy to upload files to, fast, secure, plus I was able to backup all of my photos & videos automatically too! It does make some noise though FYI since it is not a solid state drive.

Easy to setup and use. Lots of room for my stuff. Used for almost a month with no problems and convenient for transfers between my computers.

This product was great. Great price on sale. Easy to set up with just a few steps and it automatically backs up so I don't even have to think about it. Love this!

Not bad but don’t bump it. There is a mechanical hard drive inside, not a solid-state so if you accidentally bump it you will damage it and lose all data.

This was super easy to set up and we really like the ability to upload files from anywhere. This device acts just like the cloud, only it is contained right in the privacy of your own home.

This product is kinda pricey but well worth it. Once set up your pictures a are automatically sent to the drive and stored great buy and comfort to know I will not lose anything!

Very easy to hook up and get started. Only issue is when I did both iPad and iPhone my pictures were doubled up because both were synced. Don’t need to do both of them. Lesson learned.

I’ve had many WD backup products over the year but this one is by far one of the best products I have purchased Pros: 1. Ability to access any file you backed up from any device that has the App installed. 2. Ability to backup 3rd party apps like Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive, Facebook, Sonia, and My Cloud Alexa 3. Set it and it automatically backups your files. MacBook, iPad, iPhone X, pc and chrome laptops. Does it all once you have the app installed on it Cons None. I have been using it for the last couple of months and I have yet to even put a dent on the one terabyte drive.

I wanted an easy way to get pictures off of my IPhone and onto my personal hard drive and also be able to easily access those photos later. This drive is exactly what I needed! Once you download the app onto your phone, you can easily drop photos onto your hole drive and as long as you have access to the internet, you can pull them up at a later time. But, you can also use this for any type of files. The drive can also be accessed via your computer or tablet as well. And, you can even create a folder that is accessible by others if you want to share files. Great product!

This storage device makes it so easy to keep my old pictures safe from getting lost or accidentally deleted. I love that it automatically connects to my devices when they are on the same wifi. It eliminates me having to remember to backup my devices. Definitely recommend!

Replacing an older NAS system with this. Easy set up and use. Not a single issue and connectivity is good.

Device works completely fine and is very easy to use. I would especially recommend this if it is for a single user. The major downside is the lack of proper sharing between users. For example, my wife and I both have logins setup with this device. We each have separate "clouds" to which we can upload files. There is no shared space, though, nor is it possible to simply share a folder or file just with each other. This seems to be a major oversight that others have noted in forums and reviews. Hopefully a future software update can resolve this limitation.

Was fairly simple to setup. Data transfer was smooth through the website. Still haven’t quite figured out how to back up my pc without having to go through file by file transfers. Overall I’m satisfied.

This product is fantastic. The only issues I've faced is the data upload speed. This product is perfect for initial storage but is a bit lengthy for data consolidation or large data transfers.

Easy to set up and easy to access. The unit has plenty of room to absorb all my movies and pictures. I use it to mimic my hard drive on my computer to add safety.

This is good to be able to access all your content outside of your house. Not as functional as I hoped but great way to store all your data and access for all devices.

Nothing could be easier. Hook it up to the WiFi router, set a password, find it on your computer network, and assign it for your Time Machine backups. Quick and easy for all you desk top and laptop computers!
