    In looking for a second SSD I choose the Samsung 1TB External USB 3.0 portable hard drive to back up important HIPAA files for my business. It works flawlessly and is extremely fast as well. We are very happy with this product.

    Just a minor problem, as the Best Buy rep sold me the external HD formatted for pc. I called them back, and the geek squad reformatted it for Mac. All is well.

    Convenient way to back up files.I had one a few years ago which crashed and I lost years of files and 1,000s of pictures. Now also using the cloud.

    I like to be cheap on a lot of things, but storage is not one. Always go with a name brand. I have had great luck with WD.

    Had difficulty installing software because I already had WD Smartware installed, which DOES NOT WORK on this device. It's not well documented. After you get it figured out it this is a good device.
