Great for what I need it for .............................

A little bit of a pain to set up for Max but so far so good!

The drive works very well although the documentation is lacking for someone that is not a techie

good but not as good as passport ultra which was not available. indicator light was not as bright as ultra.

Good product but we decided it was not “big” enough and exchanged it for a 2 terrabite.

Purchase Date: 9/15/2019-it is ok, I wish I would have returned it within the time frame though. It is ok.

bought this when trying to recover data from old laptop. Will also use it with my new MacBook

This was recommended for my use since I didn't need a lot of space for backup. However, I could not figure out how to set it up on my Macair. Even a friend who is more tech savvy couldn't do it. I had to take it to a computer store to install the software. Now that I've figured out how it works, I guess it is. But I wouldn't know how to check.

Would not work with my android phone. Too much power required. Returned no problem

I wanted storage for my photos. I was unable to put any photos in it. It asked me to download the software. The software seemed to promote upgrades. When I tried to access the software it crashed my browser. I kept trying to make it work. No help from WD. I returned it too late for a refund. The first one they sold me was $45.00. The second one that the salesperson told me didn't require software was an additional $10.00. The second one did the exact same thing as the first. I have a $55.00 store credit with no other brand available at this time.

No instructions came with the hard drive, not even an on line Manuel!

We bought this with our new laptop. We transferred all our pictures from our old laptop. Quick and easy.

This portable hard drive is a great product. However, it did not come with any instructions.

Very poor instructions on using. Still trying to figure out how to back up my laptop. Even instructions on Utube are lacking.

This is my second WD Passport and the first one was great but I outgrew it so I bought this one. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS! I had to enter a password which I thought was for password protection but turns out it’s not. Seems there’s no way to easily add password protection to this WD model (or maybe not at all). I asked for help but the response I got was blah, blah, blah, passport, blah, blah, blah… go to this link to see how to MAYBE do what I asked. What’s the point of a device with personal information and files that you can’t password protect? If I hadn’t passed the 14 day limit, I’d return it but, instead, I’ll erase it and use it as a shiny paperweight. Thanks for nothing WD and Best Buy.
