I was looking for a small portable/external hard drive to supplement the 500gb internal drive on my new laptop. This will mostly live on my desktop, so an SSD wasn't required. Also, it will mostly plug into a docking station that only has USB 3.0, so the newer USB tech wasn't a need. If you will transport your drive regularly I would recommend an SSD; also if you have newer USB ports on your device AND would benefit from the faster transfer speeds; go with the newer tech.

Great for PS4 storage, was easy to connect and set up. A bit pricey at $65. but brings peace of mind.

Perfect repository for old files from my old laptop. Very easy to use!

This is great for storage of photos, videos, documents, etc. It is even a great way to store software. However, I did not find it useful in running the program from the portable HD. This is not to say that it cannot be used that way. It just opens the door for complications that are not time-effective. The design is sleek and very easy to connect to the cpu, the hub, or the TV. It is a great investment, especially when on sale.

Easy to use, more than enough storage space. Compatible storage for PS4 and more affordable than hard drives made for gaming.
