For about 4 years I've used two WD My Passport external drives (full size vs these laptop size). I've been satisfied with their quality, thus far.

Used this product to store everything from game backups to thesis defense. Great product got what i paid for.

I don't like to store personal information in the cloud. This solves that problem. Easy to install. Easy to use. NOT automatic, though.

Easy software to use. Extremely powerful, useful, a huge amount of storage. Very fast transfer of files. I would recommend this to anyone.

Excatly what was needed. It holds storage for my dvr and holds as many shows as i need.

We're using this as a back-up device for data and it's larger than we require for the purpose. Definitely puts my mind at ease knowing our precious information is saved on a second device and can be restored anytime.

Works great and more than I expect for my needs. I move all picture files from my PC and phones and some private information in one place. It was very easy to install and to use.

Needed a portable hard drive to transfer some files that I had on my computer and this one worked perfectly. My computer recognized it right away and synced my files right away.

Standard external hard drive that is being used as extended storage for a PS4 console. Immediately recognized and connected to the console when plugged into its USB. No issues at all.

This is a great price and value. I use it for Time Machine for my new MacBook Air and it works great. This is a good size if you want to travel with it and limit the weight you have to carry.

This Passport it awesome. The smallest 1TB hard drive I have ever seen. Not much larger than a thumb drive. Keeps my computer backed-up with no effort.

Lots of space to use for backup. I had my old system's data restored to it. But I wish the techs had given me some instruction on the file system. I had to hunt for my data.

I haven't had it that long, the reason for 4 stars, since I haven't had enough experience with it to know how it will hold up. I backed up a bunch of files on to it & successfully copied files off of it onto another computer. I'm hopeful that it will continue to work well into the future for longer term back-up.

Bought this to back up an old iMac. The iMac is old so it didn't have the USB 3.0 but it certainly did the trick and price was great.

We've gotten several excellent portable hard drives from Western Digital over the years and this one was equally outstanding. It transfers data seamlessly and fast. It's very dependable.

WD products. What more can you say other than quality. Used for secondary file backup. Fast transfer speed of large files and directories. Easy to move large files between workstations.

Perfect purchase. I use it to keep my music lessons separate.
