Needed a basic external harddrive and this fit the bill. Fits conveniently in storage and is fast.

I needed to send my laptop in for repairs and was afraid that I would lose my data during the repair. The Geek Squad agent suggested the purchase of this external hard drive to save my data. It worked great and I had the confidence that I would have all my files preserved during the repair.

Has been working great for over a year. As a former Seagate Technology employee, I continue to favor Western Digital drives over Seagate. Never has a WD drive failed on me. Can't say that for the other as I have had 1 SCSI drive and 2 ATA drives fail.

This external drive has fit perfectly into my gaming experience. My previous drive constantly forced me to format. I haven't had any issues with this one.

Bought two of these for back-up of my PCs. Easy set-up. Used in conjunction with Acronis True Image software. Works great. Daily backup scheme is working perfectly. with 400 GB contents it looks like a one-month cycle before overwriting becomes necessary. Might opt for a 2 TB capacity next time.

This drive is wonderfully small and light weight. It runs well off my pi 4b+ without extra power and I get a backup of everything I have worked on plus my current project. Should have bought this last year!
