perfect fit for my laptop and New laptop case. Laptop originally only provides 250 Gigs.

Easy to use; good value for money; unfortunately, item quit working when dropped.

Exactly one month after purchasing this item, it unexpectedly stopped working. Knowing how sensitive these drives can be, I always try to handle them carefully and avoid any unnecessary impact while running. Unfortunately, I mistakenly placed another drive on top of this one while transferring photos from one of my numerous backups, which ultimately caused it to fail. Despite only paying $55 for it, I truly did get what I paid for.

Only lasted for about a year, has a issue in which you can plug it in your computer but it will not read it

The drive is small and easy to use. Capacity is plenty for my needs as I transfer files from an old to a new computer. The process for transferring was fast and efficient. I also appreciate the ability to protect the drive with a unique password to prevent risk of compromise.

It’s compact, easy to use, and the 1TB of storage gives me plenty of space. Transfers are quick thanks to USB 3.0, and it’s really reliable for backing up files. The black design looks sleek too! Highly recommend it for portable storage.

So far this has been a incredible purchase! Very easy to use. Fairly inexpensive. Has alot of space. I purchased it for all my photos and i still have lots of space. Highly recommend

I purchased this hard drive with the intent of storing photos, videos and design files for a job. They were quickly piling up and taking up a good chunk of storage on my computer's hard drive, so I wanted a place to keep everything separate from my computer's drive. I've just started using this, but it seems it will work well for my needs. I did have some frustration in the initial setup to make it possible to use this as drag-and-drop file storage (in the same way that you would use a USB flash drive to save and transfer files), rather than as a computer backup hard drive. From other reviews I'd read, I knew it was possible, but there were no provided instructions (hard copy or on-screen in the install), and I had to reference a couple of community chats and Youtube videos to finally sort out the setting that prevented drag-and-drop. But since then, this has been exactly what I needed.

Really a great product in size, price and quality. I purchased two. One for my MAC and another for my Windows work notebook. Both easy to format and backup in seconds the entire machines. Easy to carry.

Hard drives are not all that exciting, but awesome when they are reliable and work as expected. This is a great portable drive with plenty of storage. Plugs in to the TV and works effortlessly to share photos and movies with friends and family. It just works flawlessly and is great when you need to move or share files. No external power supply and the small size also make this a great portable drive. If you need portable, reliable, and easy to use storage, this is the one. I definitely recommend it and will probably be purchasing another in the near future with more storage.

The Passport External USB was just the beginning of my purchases leading up to the purchase of a new laptop. First and foremost it is 1TB of space which is essential for all my photos. It is easier to use and more substantial than a thumb drive - although they are still useful - but for large amounts of data one does not want to lose to free up disk space the Passport is unbeatable.

After a work trip I noticed my laptop was beginning to die so I went and found this 1TB backup. Easy drag-and-drop... 20 min later, everything was saved. The next night, my laptop died. I plugged this into my new pc and moved everything over within minutes. This travels with me everywhere now when I do trainings out of town... saved on cloud as well as hardware. Tremendous value!

Easy set up. Plug it in and can move things over pretty much immediately. Have always had good luck with Western Digital products.

Such an amazing option for some quick extra space until you can take apart your pc. Have had it for over half a year and haven't had a single problem. Super simple too! Just use the provided chord to plug it into the pc and boom!

This was so easy to purchase, connect and utilize for a 12yo. Made his Stormworks program function much better and he is able to save everything he makes without fear of frustrations without always having enough room

Easy to use. Compact size is convenient. Can be used with PC or Mac. It comes formatted for PC, so If you need to use it with a Mac, change the format before storing any any files.

My computer was at Geek Squad because it suddenly wouldn't come up to desktop. I knew from previous Geek Squad visits, that my files needed to be backed up. I asked them for something like a Passport and I got just what I wanted. It's a small 1 TB hard drive that works really well.

I love this Hard Drive It really took a load off my hard drive I had over 1400 Pictures and Videos. It's great if you need extra storage space Is convenient just plug it in A 3.0 USB. I recommend this I gave it five stars.
