So, I bought this one to back it up and leave at home just in case. I copied the older one to the new one which was easy and trouble free. All my work (years and years worth) is now safe (or, at least, safer).

It’s small size is also perfect for taking with you for those larger files for people who have to have multiple copies of more than just pictures (in my case blueprints that require a certain format) for work etc.

I continue to favor WD

As a former Seagate Technology employee, I continue to favor Western Digital drives over Seagate. Never has a WD drive failed on me. Can't say that for the other as I have had 1 SCSI drive and 2 ATA drives fail.

Mini storage

You don’t want to have your computer hard filled up with the massive size files . I use this mini hard drive for storing vacation photos and video’s . It is not hard to have 80 gig of photos and videos from One vacation memories

Suite my immediate needs

The Geek Squad agent suggested the purchase of this external hard drive to save my data. It worked great and I had the confidence that I would have all my files preserved during the repair.
