My one issue Issue is I was told it would work plug and play with the chrome book and I can’t seem to get it to be recognized by my chrome book. I checked the western digital website and there is no App that supports chrome book. This Being said I will now use it as a back up for my MacBook Pro.

I have used WD products in the past but recent purchases (last yr) for an external hard drive, I have purchased Seagate. I love the sleek design and will purchase another for a replacement.

It worked perfectly the first couple of times, then the app began displaying an error message stating that I did not have permission to access the drive/files I was trying to back up. I tried everything I could to resolve, including opening the app as an administrator and searching for solutions online. Nothing worked. This has basically become junk, and I will have to buy another external hard drive. It will definitely not be a WD.

No problems thus far.
