I figured if I backed up my own data, I would not need to have someone else transfer it to another unit if it was necessary. I asked the sales person which unit I needed and bought the one he suggested. I have all my data backed up on it now.

Solid external hard drive, the speed of the copy it's very fast with the 3.0

This is so easy to set up AND, they have an 800# where a REAL PERSON walks you through the set up (in less than 5 minutes). I am so tired of all the problems I have had with Seagate software all these years--and no help--nada. Good luck. Buy this product!

I got the dreaded blue screen and panicked that I would lose my data. Went to the store and was going to buy a cloud storage product. Employee recommended this for lots of storage, about $120, and a great way to back up and move files to a new computer.

Used this to transfer files from original Xbox One to new Xbox One X. Greatly sped up the time of transfer versus online transfer. Plan to reformat for PC use.

I bought this item on sale and for the size of the drive I felt it was a great bargain. I have other Western Digital hard drives and they have served me well in the past. I am currently using this unit as my computer backup and it works well for that purpose.

I purchased this upon the recommendation of the store as my laptop was going in for repairs. They set it up for me and backed up all my data and pictures. I've been using it ever since. Its easy to use and the price was right.

I got this great hard drive on sale at Best Buy. I have three other Western Digital hard drives. My first one is over 10 years old and still working. That's why I continue to buy Western Digital, they have been reliable for me..

It took about 4 hours to copy 500 gigabytes of data but I was using USB 2.0 - I mailed the data and the drive to my brother in Germany; he reports much success with it. If you are into video, the drive will hold hundreds of movies.
