We use this storage drive to hold our downloaded movies. It does a great job and holding, storing and playing the movies with no lag on our video player. If you travel a lot, this is a great way to hold all of the movies you love!

The hard drive is simple to connect with its own cable(mini USB to USB). VERY easy to carry, whether in a backpack, fannypack, messenger bag, or laptop carry case. Any problems or questions you can contact their customer service.

Just the right size .1TB is what I was looking for .Its also great how small it is.

Purchased as a repository for a special project so that all photos and other data for digital albums could be in one place and available on different machines. The unit moves easily between the multiple machines that are being used.

This is a great tool for extra storage without slowing your computer down!

I have tons of these laying around everywhere. I use them to back up my photos for my photography business. I load them with photos from the previous 6 months then place them in a fire resistant safe. So for I havnt had any fail on me.

Needed the additional space for windows 10 to upgrade. Worked just fine for that and now that I have it, I'm sure I'll find other uses for it. My only gripe is it being delivered in a non padded postal shipping envelope. Poor choice for a hard-drive...

Tutored by the techs how to use the Windows backup method rather than the WD software. Much better. The device has loads of storage. I had the Geek Squad do a prebackup when I purchased the device. Guess I'm not as fearless as in younger days.

Upon recommendation of Geek Squad Member, purchased the item. Easy plug and play at nice price. Geek Squad backed up information and was able to get laptop back to new and reloaded. Excellent hard drive back up product.

I got this for my husband, the professional "ametur" photographer who has hundreds of folders containing thousands of photos dating back to his childhood, and after our wedding 7 months ago he needed a new much larger storage so this was just perfect!

As the title says, this is an absolute essential! It’s always a good idea to create a backup of all your computer files and this does the job! Also offers some extra cool security features at a decent price. Highly recommend!

I purchased this passport to work with my Tablo DVR. It was very easy to setup and use for this purpose. I have a 2 TB version that I use to back up my computer and it is very easy to use as well. They are worth the price paid.

Easy to setup and use. However if you have a bluetooth mouse/keyboard dongle plugged into your usb port right next to the HD's usb port you will get interference and your mouse/keyboard will not work. The usb cable for the HD causes some sort of interference. I moved my mouse/keyboard dongle to a usb port on the back of my pc and everything worked. It is definitely the HD's cable and not a bad port.

I did not use any backup device for years. When my computer went down I was so frighten. Best Buy Tech fix my computer and suggested this back up. Price was right and I feel so secure. I do not know why I was so reckless. Very affordable

Easy setup ("plug and play"); works well; good size for travel.

Used to transfer files from my Mac. Easily loads and lots of storage.

It took about 45 minutes for the driver to download and another 3 hours to transfer 400 GB worth of photos and videos. But once it was done it was easy to access them and doing backups is a breeze now.
