I'm so pleased with the ease of use and compactness of this hard drive. The last hard drive I bought which was a number of years ago was definitely not portable and slow. This one also costs less than the previous one.

Purchased this drive to use as a portable storage solution for working on digital art with both my desktop and laptop. Performance is as expected, not quite as fast as an internal drive, but still robust enough to keep up with my use case.

I paid $60 for 1TB of storage.. You cannot beat that. I bought this as a gift for my mother who has thousands of pictures on her outdated computer and smart phone. Now she can back up all the pics she wants and organize them easily. Great product.

Wife bought a Dell pc but never has been backing up info from hard drives. Since she only needed 1 TB this was a good choice and also on sale. The software included is easy to unload and set up is very simple.

I bought this after I had a problem with my computer. Thankfully it was only a power source problem. I take care of several businesses books and losing that information would be devastating. I bought this Passport to back up all my info.

This drive is surprisingly small, which means it won't take up much space either on the desk or in one's travel bag. It's also quite fast. I use it for my nightly backup and, since using this drive, my backup times have been reduced considerably.

It works for what I do on my computer. compact for use easy to use.

I am very pleased with my External Drive, My Passport. I had to pay to have my data retrieves prior to owning this device since a virus had affected my computer. Now, my data is backed up each night without my having to think about it. Amazing

I needed this hard drive when I messed up my computer and took it to Geek Squad for recovery. Now all my files are neatly tucked away on this remote hard drive for the next time I mess up, which is likely being in my 60's !!!

I have about 5 of these. Easy use, compact and great price.

The big benefit for this hard drive is the USB 3.0 speed, this drive backed up my 2013 iMac in 45 minutes. MUCH faster than a Western Digital USB 2.0 external I have - the time capsule back up in this took well over 2 hours. Also moving large videos, photos to this drive is super fast. But keep in mind, this model is made for Windows/PC, you will need to go into Mac Disk Utility to format it first, very simple. Hook the drive up via USB, go to Disk Utility, "Erase" make sire you format it to Mac Journaled. The process takes no more than 7-10 seconds. Once that is done, this is now a Mac formatted drive. Apple iMac Time Capsule can now be use. This also comes with a free one year trial of WD Cloud service. Nice little perk.
