You don't want your only computer backups to be on your computer hard drive since if something happens to the hard drive you have potentially lost everything. And a thumb drive (flash drive) can only hold so much, right? MY PASSPORT is an easy and secure way to keep your data safe and sound, separate from your PC but easily available if you need it. I bought one and I use it. It gives me peace of mind... I recommend it for all of us that don't want to takes chances with our precious photos, documents and music. I love it!

I will ALWAYS do my own BACK UP on an external hard drive of some kind. They had floppies, then, 2x2's, 3x3's, etc, then zip & zap drives, then jump drives & on & on & on. Then came this "Cloud" NOPE! NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS! I will always use what CAN'T be messed w/ once its password protected & changed on a daily basis where you can actually overwrite INSTEAD of it having a residual shadow in your "CLOUD" any day of the week!
