Purchased this for back up files and external storage. Works well and is a good size for my wife's computer. I have 3 others of differing size so I am a fan of Western Digital.

I needed something small and portable with a good amount of storage and this one is checked all of those boxes. Great buy for the price. I would recommend this product.

I mostly use it to add storage to my ps4. Easy to install and use and not too expensive.

I have been using these devices for table top and lap top backup for 10 yrs. I have next gotten a bad device. It works every time. And of course I purchase it from BEST BUY!

This is a great value for a large amount of storage space. It is small, light and very portable.

I was in need of space on my PS4 the 500 gb. may sound plentiful but it's not. I was faced with the decision to replace PS4 or buy an external hard-drive. I could not be pleased more with the external device. It freed considerable space and seems to have increased the speed. It took only seconds to plug in and configure and (here is the best part) it was inexpensive. I would recommend this device to family and friends.

I bought this for my son so he could run a different operating system on his alienware computer that had the raid drives removed. This connects thru a usb and works well.

My daughter needed an external hard drive for school and we found this to be a good value for what she needed. Works well and I think I may go back and get one for myself!

This is a really simple external hard drive to use . It's great to store large games on so you don't use your PC hard drive.

Pretty simple review: If you need a cheaper option for a 1 TB external hard drive, look no farther. It works fine and it's pretty small so it can be stashed away or hidden from view if needed. It does come with some programs that you can install if you'd like but you don't have to use them to use the hard drive. I formatted it before using it to get as much space as I could and would recommend doing that as well.

The WD Passport Hard Drive is very reliable and offers great storage solutions at an affordable price. I've used these storage devices for gaming consoles and school.

I purchased this hard drive just over a moth ago. I have used it for my Xbox One for expanded storage and it has been fantastic. Western Digital has never let me down.

Read the headline because that's exactly what you're getting here. Transferring material from one PC to another was completely painless even for the computer impaired.

The only complaint I have about this purchase is the relative lack of documentation that came with it. It "looked like" a plug-and-play device - and it is - but when I plugged it into my laptop that wasn't obvious from the onscreen instructions. So I had to call the Geek Squad to confirm. Other than that, I am very happy. Its 1T capacity is all I will ever need, and the price is quite reasonable. Very easy to set up and use. I especially like that it runs in the background without disturbing or slowing what I may be doing, so I set my backups for noon daily. That way I don't have to keep my laptop on during off hours.

This solid state drive did the job perfectly fine & has no problems when backing up storage & recovering it. It looks great along side my PS4 I love the profile of it

Bought this drive on sale, very inexpensive for the storage, packaged securely in the box and computer found it when attached. Ran a few test on it, they all passed. Using it to back up my sister's new computer. So far no issues, it's only been a month, will update my review if needed in the future.

Purchased this drive to back up my active hard drive. Had a recent unfortunate event whereby a power outage knocked out my hard drive so wanted to prevent future data loss. The 1 terrabyte was more than enough for my data but nice to know that I have a lot of space to keep backing up and also added media files to this. It's easy to plug into my computer and pull up the files I need.

Storage is getting wonderfully affordable and the portability factor is a plus. I run a small home studio and often work with friends and clients at their location. I like keeping dedicated drives for clients and mobility is a must. These regularly end up on deal of the day, so the price is nearly always less than a month's worth of coffee from a certain establishment!
