I bought this as an addition to my collection of external drives. I have a smaller capacity WD that is now full and a Toshiba drive that failed. I think all brands can fail at one time or another, so I don't fault Toshiba, but it makes me careful when looking for a new one. Good price too!

Purchased to use as a time machine backup disc. Used the WD app to format for Mac. Super easy and working great. Saved a few bucks this way as a bonus.

Purchased this item at the last minute to backup my computer will GeekSquad worked on it. It is pretty lightweight and was able to hold all of my files and pictures and still hVe room to add more. Very easy to use.

Not as fast as an SSD, but the cost and reliability are time-tested, and the price is hard to beat! SSDs are great, but if super-fast isn't an absolute necessity, consider a WD 2.5" drive. They get the job done and provide great storage and access with the speed of USB 3!

Have not had any problem so far, as I have used it as a time machine for my MacBook Pro 2017 edition after I transferred everything. there was some weird configuring to do before I began to initiate the Time machine but nonetheless it worked seamlessly and efficiently.

Does it's job well. Easily would slip in the filing cabinet or safe. Transferred an entire Mac book pro on to this, and it didn't even touch the space this little thing has.

I learned the hard way what happens when you don't back your stuff up on your laptop. So my old laptop died on me out of the blue when the hard-drive crashed. Unfortunately, I had everything on it. I never saved my stuff in the cloud because I simply didn't want my stuff floating around out there. Anyway, I lost virtually everything. So I bought this when I bought a new laptop. Needless to say, I back up religiously.

This works great! Easy to install and set up, doesn't take up much space. If you buy the Targus Powered 3.0 4 port Hub you won't loose your only USB 3 port!

1TB external USB 3.0 hard drive is an important business tool for me. It needs to be small, sturdy and dependable. This is a good size - fits perfectly in my laptop bag.
