I've got a laptop with some paltry hard drive space, and quite frankly...I need to save stuff, enter the WD - My Passport 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black! This gave me the space I needed for cool things to be downloaded from the internet. You should get one too if you have space issues.

As a wildlife photographer I am in constant need for more storage. This hard drive is great for the price.

I am in college...I was transfering my photos, videos and other documents to my Surface Pro from my cell phone cause it was out of storage even with the S.D. card. And the same thing happened to the Surface Pro so this device helped me to save, increase space and eliminate triplicate photos,ect from all devices.

Bought to transfer data from a repaired external hard drive. Be sure to use on an online backup, as these don't last forever. Great for temporary data storage.

Best external hard drive and I love the new look!!

I've used Western Digital drives before and have never been disappointed. This product keeps with that heritage.

I bought an Xbox 1 for Christmas. Ran out of hard drive space pretty fast. Needed an external drive that had lots of space and was user friendly. The WD seemed to fit the bill as far as all the review said. Bought it, plugged it in, selected the gaming option. Formatted in like, 10 seconds. I've had it for a month now. It's wicked fast with downloads and updates. It actually seems to have made my Xbox faster. If it lasts, it'll get 5 stars. So far I am very pleased.

Drive was a good price and was able to pick it up versus waiting for delivery. Works on Windows based PCs and Macs. I can never stress enough to make sure you have a good backup of you computer and if you use one of these external drives, you need to make sure you have a backup of it as well.

I like the size and color of this external hard drive. Geek Squad recommended I back up all my data files before they worked on my deathly sick computer so I picked this one, based on a sales person's recommendation. All my data transferred perfectly and I now have another place to back-up all my important files.

This was a excellent storage device. I indeed purchased it for the first time, never had I used an external hard drive before. Storage and access are super fast and it’s sleepy design and look makes it find a spot in your bag. Great product!

I use this to carry with me on the go to keep my Surface tablet from getting clogged up with too many photos, videos, or documents. Its plug and go type feature is easy to hook up in a hurry and begin saving files. It's reliable and I now have three or four of them in my carry box in my car.

What can I say about an external hard drive? It works, it's been reliable so far, loads quickly. Good price.
