I have several of these WD portable hard drives and they are great quality. Never had any issues with them.

I needed a external hard drive that would not save and encrypt. I needed something I could save information and photos then also be able to work on the data while saved on the hard drive. Its perfect. This particular hard drive I have purchased before and the company has made it 100% easier to install and use.

I have purchased other brand external hard drives (in error ) but My Passports are the best. They are extremely stable and easy to set up (just plug n play). I have yet to see one fail! I own 3 and bought this one as birthday gift for my sister. Stable, easy to use and fast transfer of files. Great product!

As a new Mac user, it was very important to me that this hard drive is compatible with both PC and Mac. The associate stated it was. When I plugged it in, it formatted to the first platform I plugged it in to, and I wasn’t able to use it (it edit mode) on the Other, you have to program it (YouTube) has some great tutorials which shows you how to partition the hard drive. Once you do this, the drive is compatible on both PC and Mac (both with edit capabilities)

I bought this to transfer everything from my old laptop to my new Surface book 2. more than enough memory to hold 11 years worth of data, pictures, videos and games I had. I will keep this for a safe backup for both what I had and what I will download on my new laptop

This has been a great external hard drive. Works across multiple platforms and perfect size for travel.

Bought these to be small back-ups rather than the large desk sitting units - they work great and save space. USB 3 for decent speed transfers. - I have others - but the color on this really stands out in case you have a problem with misplacing stuff or for someone that has a hard time seeing.

I have been familiar with Western Digital for a long time. Based on their reputation and the feedback of others, I purchased this unit to expand my backup capability. I have not been disappointed! The unit is truly plug-and-play. The included software is intuitive, and makes backing up my PC simple.

don't have to think about it, always on and is unobtrusive,- no need to worry about hackers getting at my info - pleased i finally found a backup system i feel good about and like and was affordable

WD has always been a favorite of mine when it comes to external hard drives for backing up laptops. However, this one did not come with proper instructions for backing up a MacBook and I had to look them up online to ensure I followed the correct procedures. Overall though, I am very happy with this purchase and will continue to look to WD for my external backup needs!

Needed this to backup my existing hard drive as i had a recent unfortunate event with another hard drive that I lost due to an electrical outage. I was able to easily set up this drive and plug it into my computer. 5 Minutes later I was transferring my files onto the drive at USB speeds.

I bought this as a backup tool for my wife's business computer. The fact that this comes with an easy-to-setup backup app included makes it a real winner. She can leave it plugged in permnanently and the app performs an overnight incremental backup for any changes since the last one. Excellent product!

I bought this to store my pictures. So far it's been great. I had a Seagate 1tb. And I downloaded all my pictures on it. I ended having to buy a recovery software because the Seagate didn't work after only having it for 3 months. Seagate company wanted to charge me 500$ to try and retrieve my pictures.

I lost all my data on my laptop and could have avoided this loss by having an external hard drive. Do it!

I've only had the drive for a few weeks, but so far, very happy with it. Perfect for my laptop backups.

Easy to operate and transport. Fires right up on windows format. Slightly more complex for a chromebook user

Bought because of the 3.0 which is an upgrade to my 2.0 WD Drives. Great backup to a new Lenovo laptop.
