I only purchase WD external drives for backups. I store all of my photos on the drive and I love it

After some initial formatting issues, I got this external drive to sync with my Mac. I wish I spent the additional $15 to get the specific Mac format to save the headache. But it made me feel confident that I could update some hardware and save some money. 1TB is a lot of space, however I was able to easily fill it up with 4-years worth of work. That’s a lot of work. Great value.

I have had this drive for a couple of months now, and I use it as a Networked Attached Storage (NAS) drive. It sits by my router and just works. It is not the fastest drive, but for the price, I have no complaints. I am a WD fan, and have been for a long time. This drive is perfect for the price!

received this external hard drive as a Christmas gift and am just getting around to using.......loading all of my photos onto it from my laptop. So happy having my pictures all organized, safe, and in one place. Bonus has been the unburdening of my laptop by removing them from there. Great gift.

tons of space. decent speed. quiet. these are all things that this hard drive does. it is a hard drive after all. would buy again. great price too. don't know the capability for xbox or anything lie that though. i use it to keep backups of all my devices and just general storage.

Liked this Hard drive. Easy to use and helped me get a back up for all my pictures and documents. I'm not that computer savey and I could do it by myself. The Best Buy sales associate gave me a quick guide to its use and I was proud that I could it alone.

This drive has everything I need. It's USB 3.0 FAST, has software that creates a password protected drive to keep my work from prying spy's, and the price was incredible. Love the color option as it helps me keep track of what's what. I use different colors for work, games, movies, music and pics.

This drive is a terrific backup for your files. It is very compact and goes with me everywhere. I was a little concerned when I first unpackaged it as there didn't appear to be any instructions; however, after I plugged it into one of the USB ports, found everything I needed.

Hard drive is a great size, reliable easy to carry pick up and go anywhere with it. connects quickly

purchased to replace a 7 year old one that got damaged after it felt on concrete. This device looks solid and it actually quieter than the previous versions. Speeds gets reduced as the information stored reaches device's capacity, but nothing to cause a complaint.

Best buy said to get it so I got it. I am writing more because you have to have many charactors.
