This brand and general model type is usually rated 5 stars by people. It works fine. Good instructions online. Comes in attractive colors. Bulky and you might like a slimmer external. But Passport is often seen as more reliable than Seagate say a good number of BB and other sales reps in 2017. Head of usb cord can be a bit hard to plug in as goes in tight and upside down. Other than for that is a very good product.

Needed this to replace my old one. Read a few reviews about it not being easy to use but it was. Just plug it into the computer follow the prompts and it will back up as often as you need. I even double checked that what I wanted to be saved was there and it is so no complaints

My desktop tower died so I reviewed a few on-line. At Best Buy, I explained what my old computer could do and what I needed in a new one. The salesman was informative and guided me to a top rated model that was less than I expected to pay. It is working out very well.

My PC was locked by someone (hacked) Geek Squad agent recommended the use of this to recover my data. Took a week for them to get things processed but complete success. Thank you!

It is always important to have a backup. The price was right and I appreciated that Best Buy price matched Amazon. The only strange bit was the protection plan for this item. If it goes bad, it’s not the hardware I’m concerned about. I want to save the information!

The unit was very easy to set up with the USB connection to the computer. It is easy to disconnect and keep in a safe place when traveling away from home. Recently lost a computer by theft from our car. Nice to have a back up with all the data files that were on the computer.

This is a simple external hard drive that serves well for holding large content of information. Information such a projects, large amount of music, work file, and encrypted files. This product even has a safety locking mechanism built in so your information can be protected!

File transfers are quick and easy, zero malfunctioning, and great TB storage for a reasonable price. Only complaint is that the cord isn't great quality. Handle with care or it will easily bend at where the adapter meets the cord.

That’s dying for storage especially if you want to see pictures or falls and you don’t want to save it on your hard drive if you have a lot of data on it. Great for backing up a lot of assessor he’s especially for one terabyte and Microsoft security enabled.

This drive is large enough to transfer your child's entire life's pictures to one external drive. Think graduation party. No problem; get all the pics in one swoop. Senior nite in sports? Browse one external drive and print the pics you want. "Once and done."

I regard this as a necessary back-up for my computer. Glad Geek Squad could do it for me!

After operating for 25 years without a backup device, I finally decided I had better have a device to back up all my data. It was much easier to use than I thought. I just plugged it in and that was all that there was to it.

I bought this external hard drive with the intention of making a copy of everything on my USB flash drive in case it ever gets lost then will have a back up. I plugged it into my computer and it would not let me immediately transfer all of my files from flash drive to external hard drive. I'm going to have to make a copy of everything on my computer first and then transfer over the the external hard drive, which was a step I was hoping to avoid. It probably works great for other purposes, just not the one I wanted.

After having an emergency back-up by Geek Squad eliminate some very important data, I purchased the Passport. It is super easy to set up and use. My back-ups are now automatic and I can disconnect and take the drive off-site with me when I leave the office.

I bought this so I would be able to transfer all my cell phone pictures and videos and free up memory. So far everything has worked like it should and I have had no problems.

this is my third passport; all 3 are I use. I use this for a security camera system. I am getting almost a week of video on this before it overwrites. This drive was just a few dollars more than an overpriced laptop case I recently bought.
