Just need a simple little backup drive for incremental backups - fast & works great

Bought this drive to help my friend backup his data. No hiccups, drive was picked up right away and he was able to get all his data transferred to his new PC. Read/write speeds during the transfer were fine, on par with other 2.5" USB 3.0 externals I've used in the past.

This HD is the same capacity as my computer HD, so it makes backup easy. Instructions are straight forward and operation is as simple as a flash drive. In fact , it's my second one. I still use the other for larger backups of important data.

Bought to download Apple photos to. Size is great works well great price point.

So far, so good - needed more memory and room. Was easy enough to transfer info from the old HD.

Not set up for Mac OS X out of the box like sales assoc. said it was, but was easy enough to reformat with Disk Utilities, so far no problem running it with Time Machine and retrieving backups. Great drive for the money. Have always had good luck with Western drives.

Good external drive for my Xbox One. One thing to note is that even though I turn the console off, not sleep mode, the drive seems to still be on on. The light on the drive blinks and you can hear the drive running. No issues so far.

My daughter needed an external hard drive for college. Bought this one. works well.

I've been using this portable drive for almost one year now and I haven't had any issues or problems. It works out of the box and it works with multiple hardware and software systems including HP, Lenovo, Dell and Fujitsu. It works with Windows 7, 8 and 10.

I bought a hard drive in the past at retail competitor. It failed and I was unable to return it since the the company went out of business. I bought this one and it was successful with all the info/pics I needed to save. This passport has performed exceptionally.

the drive is good, holds alot of space and time is decent, small, doesn't take up much space.

It holds everything I need it to. It is easily usable and helps my laptop with storage.

I purchased two of these drives for a couple of the laptops at home. They are economical, easy to set up, and come with software to conveniently perform automatic back-ups on a regular schedule. I haven't had them long enough to vouch for their long term durability, but I'm satisfied so far. I have already recommended them to friends who have also been satisfied with them.

This external drive is now my new-favorite gadget. I bring it every time I travel. I have 6 external drives and I'm so glad that WD offers a different color drives. Easy to spot. Data transfer is very fast and this drive is priced just right.
