This is a 1 Terabyte drive. For a little more money I got over 3 times the capacity as nearly same priced thumb drive. The only draw back for some is that it is physically digger and does not fit into as small a space but the storage to price ratio makes this a no brainer for me.

Greate little backup drive.

Old laptop had only a USB 2.0 port but drive worked fine (but slow as expected) even using the USB 3 cable supplied. I have not had the opportunity to try the backup software supplied with the drive yet. I would suggest anyone planning to partition the drive as I did, become more familiar with that procedure so as not to compromise the integrity of the software provided. I do not leave my drive connected all the time but I still get update messages on bootup. That is somewhat annoying and I have not figured out how to over ride that option.
