Keep in mind, if you have a 1TB hard drive, you won't be able to use this to back-up your system, you'll need a bigger than your hard drive back-up.

Doesn’t show up on Macbook M3 - Unusable

It’s not visible on disk utility, WD drive, or WD’s other software. There’s no drive to click to even try to format it for a mac or look at the drive. It’s essentially not mounting, on a brand new 2024 Macbook air. I tried it on a 2020 MB air and a 2014 MB Pro with the same lack of visibility.
