I needed a portable external hard drive. This is slim and light - perfect for putting in your bag. No issues at all.

I got this to have some extra space on my PS5 because the games take up so much space. This works really well and the games still load pretty quickly compared to last gen.

We bought this to backup an old failing system so the data would be transferred to a new system. The setup was super simple with the software installed and then updated automatically from the Internet. Once setup was complete, backup was a breeze and took little time at all. On the new system, the data transfer took less time since we already had the software installed due to using the same Western Digital software for its own Raid 1 external backup.
