I had been wanting to get an external drive for some time. It's all I wanted.

Works as intended for a usb storage device. Will say it can get slightly hot and the small fan inside makes minimal noise.

Using as a dedicated backup device for a Windows 7 PC. No problems or surprises. I'm using Windows Backup & Restore, not the WD utility. Just ordered another for a Win10 PC.

Quiet for a non-SSD, very thin and efficient, pretty fast for an inexpensive drive. No hesitation, tracked moving files while and saw very little slow-down. Based on my experience I'd recommend this product. Glad I bought it !

This Western Digital device is really nice and much more compact and portable than my last external hard drive.

Needed a storage device to hold Medical info for myself and this holds my whole file with plenty of room for more. Can fit almost any where, with easy access.

Overall a good product. A bit difficult to get the software loaded and working. I needed support from Western Digital, but it was available and the instructions given were clear and did work. The device itself is takes a long time for the first backup, but it is accurate, so no real complaint about performance.

My son encouraged me to purchase an external hard drive. It took a little for me to learn since I had never used one before. I really like it and therefore bought a second one for my daughter.

Working just fine. Yes, huge-capacity hard drives can hold more, but if one fails, you love a large number of files. Ever since that happened to me, I've been using the smaller hard drives.

I usually buy My Passport because I can password protect my data. This drive is even smaller than my previous one. They are ready to use right out of the box. Just plug it in and it is ready.

This storage unit is easy to use and it will store tons of photos and backup lots of data. I love the fact that it'll work Anytime I need to backup data to go to one computer to another

it has a great size that is portable and large capacity

Needed this in order to pull photos, videos, documents from my old computer so that I'd have them safely stored. And even though thats thousands worth of photos there's still a loooot of space left on the drive itself.
