Unbelievable value for the price. This was easy to add to my computer. 2T is a lot of storage for something this size. The added security features add to this great value.

Some things to get clear with this product: Quality: This external hard drive has a very high quality feel, the case is well designed and the read/write speeds are consistent in benchmarks. Ease of use: I have to give this portable hard drive a 3 out of 5 because for some reason even after I plugged it into my pc, it didn’t even tell me that I had to format it even though all the disk space was unallocated, maybe I got a bad unit or something but if someone who didn’t know how to format a drive got this, they’d probably have a hard time figuring out what to do with this product. Other than that it should just be a simple plug and play item. Value: even though it’s not stated directly on the box, this is a 2TB SSD that’s inclosed in the housing and in fact not an HDD which is good news, usually you find 2TB SSDs to be hundreds of dollars because they are so fast but this one was about $90 and was a great deal, if you are running low on space this is a great option to consider.

This drive is perfect for my needs. It has plenty of storage and it made switching to a new laptop so easy. Plus I have peace of mind knowing my data is backed up.

I purchased this drive to use for backing up my primary system and assorted other files. I was able to partition it, install a Linux system of its own on it, boot-up the system installed on it, and backup everything to it from within that system all without any problems. It did seem to get a bit warmer than I thought it would during the initial backup process, but everything went smoothly and it looks like all the data is there. Western Digital has been my go-to drive brand for many a year now, with the only failure in that time being caused by me, so I'm expecting this drive to function well and last for a good while

Picked this up for my daughter to back up her laptop and add some extra storage for her wedding planning. Works great and without issue. Already filling with photos.

This device is small and compact and holds more data then we thought we had. The price was the best after shopping and comparing with other external drives. Easily downloads data with very minimal instructions.

These External Drives Are Great for Storage and replay on PC's and TV's. However... once in a while you get one that is defective. Just return it and get another one or just a refund.

I was surprised by the size of this portable drive, it is much smaller than my previous WD My Passport. I use it for Time Machine backups on my macbook pro, so I can't attest to its speed of writing/reading, since I don't care much. I did notice that the first backup (500GB) took a while, but other than that it's silent and works well in the background. I can travel with it due to how flat it is, so that's another plus. Setting it up was easy. I plugged it on, opened Time Machine and selected the drive. Time machine required to format it in order to use it, but that didn't take long and in no time it was backing up.

Simple and easy to use. Good storage space, good price. Perfectly happy with it. Also, I like to support Best Buy because I appreciate being able to see product that I'm buying before paying for it. Also, Best Buy backs up their products so I support them as much as possible.

The WD storage device is easy to use and setup up. The Downloadable WD icon is a great tool for setup and use for transferring files. It has been reliable so far. It’s compact size makes convenient to take from place to place.

My Son and MIL both have this model, and save alot of their storage between photos and even his gaming on this. Reasonanly priced and convenient for storage.

Well, let me tell you - I had some digital files and I didn't know where to put them. Can't fit 'em in a shoe box. Can't fit 'em in my truck. Can't fit 'em in my fish tank with my little fishy "Sir Swims' A-Lot". But, I CAN fit them in my brand spankin' new WD My Passport 2TB External drive! Yes sir, this sucker works! Thank you, Western Digital. You did me a solid.

I really liked this external memory for the 2 Terabytes capacity. I was able to backup my PC before I cleaned it from all the trash that was causing it to lag. The price was about 90 dollars so it was just right.

This is the second My Passport that I have purchased and both work great and have given me no problems. It’s slightly cheaper than other similar options but the quality is just as good.

Purchased to keep all of my wedding photos and videos safe in one spot. Tons of storage, but so small and easy to bring with you whenever you need.

Can’t go wrong with western digital. I’ve had 2 external hard drives that have lasted over 15 years!!!! Thankfully I never have issues and their product is just plug and play!
