I needed more storage, portable, and easy to use. Security was a must. I got all of the above with the WD Passport 2TB. There were higher and lower storage, but 2TB was enough for me.

This item has saved me time and money. Being a music producer using this drive has made my workflow 10x faster

Needed a storage device to hold Medical info for myself and this holds my whole file with plenty of room for more. Can fit almost any where, with easy access.

This External Hard drive has surpassed what I thought it could do. Also wasn’t exactly sure what I needed. Was upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and didn’t want to lose programs, pictures etc off of my computer while doing the upgrade. There was a Geek Squad team member out on the floor helping people. She was very nice and knowledgeable. Helped me immensely. I am not a spring chicken anymore and a lot of things to do with computers and smart phones I am Clueless. Thank You. Britt

Great storage, does pretty well with video games too

Some things to get clear with this product: Quality: This external hard drive has a very high quality feel, the case is well designed and the read/write speeds are consistent in benchmarks. Ease of use: I have to give this portable hard drive a 3 out of 5 because for some reason even after I plugged it into my pc, it didn’t even tell me that I had to format it even though all the disk space was unallocated, maybe I got a bad unit or something but if someone who didn’t know how to format a drive got this, they’d probably have a hard time figuring out what to do with this product. Other than that it should just be a simple plug and play item. Value: even though it’s not stated directly on the box, this is a 2TB SSD that’s inclosed in the housing and in fact not an HDD which is good news, usually you find 2TB SSDs to be hundreds of dollars because they are so fast but this one was about $90 and was a great deal, if you are running low on space this is a great option to consider.

Unbelievable value for the price. This was easy to add to my computer. 2T is a lot of storage for something this size. The added security features add to this great value.

I love WD products they never let me down. This is the 3rd hard drive I’ve gotten from them,they hold up very good and provide all the storage space I need,portable and the color is nice also. Great product.

This device is small and compact and holds more data then we thought we had. The price was the best after shopping and comparing with other external drives. Easily downloads data with very minimal instructions.

When the last desk top crashed hard the Geek Squad was going to back up the old hard drives, so I was going to get a different portable hard drive... The tech advised this one which was a bit less money and more durable... Worked very well and now using as weekly backup...

Price was good, setup and use were easy, size is small enough to fit into my back pocket. was quickly able to connect to PC and download photos and files and backup the PC. Highly recommend.

I purchased this drive to use for backing up my primary system and assorted other files. I was able to partition it, install a Linux system of its own on it, boot-up the system installed on it, and backup everything to it from within that system all without any problems. It did seem to get a bit warmer than I thought it would during the initial backup process, but everything went smoothly and it looks like all the data is there. Western Digital has been my go-to drive brand for many a year now, with the only failure in that time being caused by me, so I'm expecting this drive to function well and last for a good while

This drive is perfect for my needs. It has plenty of storage and it made switching to a new laptop so easy. Plus I have peace of mind knowing my data is backed up.
